The Tree House Apartment at Hotel Banana Azul in Costa Rica is the meaning of "chill".

the nap worthy porch is percect because it has open air space around each of the seating areas, a measure of privacy, while also allowing a view to other goings on. I personally like to muse a bit between pages...my favorite reading corner at home is in my family room, large windows overlooking the river and a bank of windows facing the balcony and it's plantings...it's tucked back so I am not easily discovered as I 'hide out' there.

I'm at my best when surrounded by nature. My favourite places are in the woods, by a stream or anywhere where the sounds of nature are all I hear. I can read and contemplate, get lost in my thoughts, and rejuvinate. Lovely.

I'd love a cozy little get-a-way room in the attic! The rain sounds so great hitting on the roof when you're in the attic. Heaven!

Our wide balconies are our chill zones, with balmy Bahamian breezes, sea and pool views, and easy access to the bar and bathrooms.

My chill zone is my back patio. It's private and catches morning sun.

My blue LazyGrrl chair w perfect reading light that nobody can see or...this big sunny deck!

The nap porch looks so inviting...nothing like making the outdoors an extension of your home...

I'm so looking forward to lounging on our front porch, looking out into the woods. Even though I haven't done any plantings or landscaping yet.

I love my house. Pretty cozy... I just wish I had a place to hang out in the backyard. It's hard to design my backyard apparently.... :)

Our pool is entertaining for the children and us as we sprawl in the Aussie sun. The cookatoos drink the salt water , they are such characters!

The porch swing seems to me an amazing place to "chill out" alone or with friends.

Or as we say in Australia .... the verandah out the back and the old rocking chair la la la

Reading nook, please. My nook under the window on the landing of my staircase is such a soft quiet place to retreat and enjoy reading in the sunshine. To gaze out the window, and reflect on what I have read, is heaven to me.

I can think of nothing more relaxing than relaxing poolside/Oceanside in an "over water" bungalow in a tropical location like BoraBora!

Hammock porch, hammock porch, wow this one was tough. The porch won out. Maybe I should vote again!
I voted for the reading nook - love the greenery. It always has a calming effect on me. Our relaxation spot is our screened-in back porch with jacuzzi. Notice the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired glass mosaic hanging in front of the hot-tub made by yours truly.

The porch swing is for me. Our last house had a screened in back porch with a swing that I slept in a bunch. We had a swing under an arbor on the patio and another one at the other end of the patio. At our current home we have another screened in porch with the same swing from our previous home, a swing under the arbor we built here and a swing on the front porch, great for sitting in to take a break when cutting the grass.

My favorite spot to drink, read and nap. My husband surprised me with this faux palm tree...he was trying to get on my good side after I agreed to retire in Idaho instead of Key West (my first choice)!

    TROPICAL!

I'm a coastal gal but I chose to marry a mountain man. We have a wonderful sunroom but I'd love the view to include sand and surf.

I have 4 porches which I love to sit on, but it seems like everytime I sit on one, one of my cats find me, and HAVE to have attention right now!

I was torn between the pool and the porch, I love both areas

We consider our front porch one of the most vital & most relaxing parts of our home. A large, solid porch swing would complete a shady Nirvana!
I'd take the reading nook. I am usually looking for a quiet place to read, nap or both. That space has filtered sun and probably a nice breeze when the wind is stirring. Looks like you could lie either way, depending on how much sun you wanted, too.

i like the Poolside Lounge cos it's so relaxing after the day's hard work,.. and the Classic Hammock is soooo cooool !.. i love it esp. when reading my mags..
I voted poolside lounge (and have one) but really prefer oceanside, with lots of sun and breeze! All the chill zones are nice, though.
We have a tree swing overlooking the river. Pure bliss:-)
Definitely LOVED the nap-worthy porch. I can just visualize sitting there early in the morning with a cup of coffee, watching the sun rise. My cozy spot in my home is the sunroom.

Our chill zone is our partially covered patio. Right now it is still winter in Ohio so pics won't do it justice!

I love quiet lonely places for my meditation moments and also to reflect on many issues and as i look at other homes I image alot of things like how the world from a distance looks so lovely and peaceful and yet when you get to close it is most like the opposite. i am a Godly person so it helps me appreciate the creator.
