I bought it at a secondhand market for about $15. Can anyone venture a guess as to what its original use might have been? It's 92 cm square at the top (~36") and 62 cm high (~24-1/2"). Hard to tell what kind of wood it's made from because the inside is painted as well, but it's solid wood and heavy. I wasn't sure at first that I'd keep it, but now I plan to have the molding repaired and paint it. The pullout at the bottom is brilliant; otherwise I'd have to lie on the floor to reach inside. I plan to store my sewing machine in there.
