We are having a second deck installed. The original deck will be redone with a cable system to allow for a better view. We didn't realize that the contract didn't include staining. OUCH! But after reading several articles, they say it's better to wait to stain. Has anyone else waited one to 12 months to stain their boards? We went with cedar instead of pine.
