What is the stone around the fireplace called, is that a fireplace insert ?

    The stone is 1" thick stone veneer--many of the stone yards around here are offering real stone cut to this thickness. So this stone is a fieldstone from Montana. The Fireplace is manufactured wood burning fireplace which was converted to gas.

    I'm sorry, I don't. We got it from a stone yard locally--they source their stone from many different quarries.
