Really? I think your kitchen is beautiful as is. If you want a change, how about painting the half wall on the back of the island instead- or even a nice wall paper, along with a metal foot rest. And/or a funky, colorful pendant over the island to bring in a POC.

What does the rest of the space look like? Are there any other colors? The style of your kitchen suggests an open floor plan with the rest of your home.... or is it boxed in?

That is definitely a funky place to decide to put paint... it wouldn't be my intuitive leap to put the accent color on the island.

Definitely just the back of the island...my home is open concept to dining area and family room. I have tried to keep the same combination of cord throughout. Blues,
Greens, deep reds and small pops of orange.

I like the pop of color from the flowers and the blue bar stools. I think color on the island would take away from those.

if you paint the island then the pop of the chairs will go out and it would be so many colors. hope this helps.
