Cheap shower update

This is the MB in our vacation home. I have a very limited budget to update so I don't want to spend it on a new shower door. My question is do you think I could remove it entirely or just replace the 1/2 wall glass panel? Any other thrifty ideas? As you can see I have plenty of other ways to use my limited $

You know, if you cant disguise it decorate it. Right now white and gold bathrooms are all the rage at high end bathroomsWork with it. If you go to Target or Walmart you can buy Gold Duck Tape. Go hog wild with it. Frame your drawers, stick it in chevrons on the walls. There is a saying, if it is not broken do not fix it. Try save your remodel money for things that are broken and really necessary. Looks pretty good

You could try painting the brass with oil rubbed bronze to update it, but this would require removing the door and protecting the glass.

I don't think painting would work very well and if it starts peeling it will look worse than it does now.

We removed ours, how-to videos on the Internet, then hung a shower curtain. I think it looks fresh and updated for very little money.

Another option would be take out the doors and use a shower rod with a colorful shower curtain. Changing the colour would break up the monotony of everything being white.
