Your granite is beautiful with a lot of movement. I would pick up one of the off white colors for the backsplash. I am no expert, but, since you are asking, I think grey is very trendy and very depressing.

What color is your wall paint, and what is the floor?

Agree with alicejean. Keep it simple, too. Consider using the granite as the backsplash behind the range and tile the rest.

Right now I have selected Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter as accent paint (we have added glass front white cabinets to be placed above the standard cabinets so there will be little wall to paint). We have Emser Napa Crema 12x24 tile selected for the floors. Would it be too much to have a brick pattern on both the floor and backsplash? The floor tile also comes in an 18x18 size...

I would pick a color from your granite counter, a white, and an accent color also from the granite. Use them in 3 x 6 subway tiles in a 5:3:1 ratio. I think that would transition nicely from the very active stone to the white cabinets. Repetition is one of the keys to good design, so use the 12 x 24 floor tile to repeat the same shape as the subway tile. Your paint color is a wonderful neutral which will work for many years.

I too have chosen this granite, Marjorie, you mentioned the 5:3:1. Could you elaborate please. I had planned an off white/gray subway tile but not familiar with that term. Much appreciate your help.

I love the granite you have. I am sure you will have a very nice granite countertop with beautiful movement. I agree the idea to be simple, and would like to recommend white backslpash to go long with the white cabinets and granite.

I am also using Lennon granite but with a dark walnut cabinets. Also looking for back splash ideas.

So how did it turn out? We are looking at Lennon for the movement that is well demonstrated in your slab. It's beautiful. I would love to hear about or, better yet, see pictures of the final product.

Not the same granite...but very similar. Def would go with white cabinets. I picked tile that matches a colouR found in the granite. Here is our backsplash:

We ended up keeping the backsplash very simple - white subway tile and did a herringbone pattern over the stove top. I am happy we didn't do anything more as the granite ended up looking darker than we expected. We love how fresh and crisp it turned out in-spite of not having the usual white counter top.

We are choosing this granite as well. We have white cabinets going in and I will also be using white subway tiles. My problem is what paint to choose. I had Behr Ashen picked out (the rivers in the granite appear beige to me while there are pewter large blotches in it) . . . and this morning my husband said: we should go Agreeable grey paint. So confused now. What color paint did you use with the white cabinets?
