I am considering this as the main light in my bathroom.

I am concerned that it will not be bright enough. I get ready in the bathroom, does it emit enough light for putting on make-up?

This light will have 300 Watts which is enough lighting for a bathroom. It's a great fixture and will definitely give you the lighting you need! And if it's too bright, you can also get a different bulb.
