I like it. Why not try living with it a little while & see if it grows on you. By the time you fill up your bookcase, etc. with beautiful distractions, you may find that it offends you no longer.

Trying to put some sort of skim over it will almost certainly turn out cheesy-looking & having a carpenter put new insets in your cabinets will not be cheap - but would be the preferred method if you're absolutely dead-set on going down the path of beadboard eradication.

Find someone to get you a piece of the wood in the same size as the bead board then cover in something else - like textured wallpaper you can paint - and cover it that way. Glue in place and add trim to cover the seam around it. You might also be able to do something cool with mirrors over those bead board sections.

I'd worry less about the breadboard ,and replace the klick flooring
