Ike covering spare toilet rolls with a crotcheted sleeve!! No no no.

Box covers don't need to be ugly or old fashioned. I use a simple brushed stainless steel one on the hubbys side and a modern but slightly more feminine one on mine.
There's no point in making your bedside table look stylish and beautiful and then plonk a rainbow coloured kleenex box on it.

You could always put tissues in a pretty trinket box???

Etsy has (had? have not looked in awhile...) some lovely linen covers that can be monogrammed. Simple, shabby-chic, and on my wish list for by my bed. I currently keep the box in side table drawer.

We get some funky tissue boxes/tubes straight off the shelves. nice for kids and teens rooms, doesn't really go with my style though

I like changing the look by choosing different tissue boxes regularly - there are many great designs on the supermarket shelves these days!

Tissue boxes are ideal for a bathroom or bedroom where it could take centre stage.

I use recycled tissues and am proud of it! I leave the box uncovered to make a statement!

I really don't need anything else that needs cleaned - rather throw them away when done

I use covers for one reason: with the slight added weight of a cover, I don't need two hands to grab a quick tissue--one to pull the tissue and one to hold the box down so it doesn't fly up in the air. That can be SO annoying to a lazy person like me!

Tissue Covers are an easy way to make a simple bathroom or vanity more sophisticated. We have seen an increase in sales and requests for our tissue covers.

I never leave the tissue in the box! I use a crystal rose bowl or a decorative box.

When using tissue boxes we like them to covered and it usually relates to the accessories being used in the bathrooms

I like a cover on mine. The boxes the tissues come in are usually too funky or silly in design and don't compliment the rooms in which they are used. I will be designing my own shortly.

Cover. The cover is for weighing down the box so you can take a tissue with one hand on the run.

I only put covers in other people's homes. They stay in drawers at my house.

"Kleenex" is a brand name. "tissue" is a generic description of a household tissue.

I do love the crystal bowl idea... but can see that it would reach a point where two hands were needed so that the whole clump of tissues doesn't come out of the bowl. Great for when guests are in the house as a design statement and " just for you" statement. Still, I have to go with the fact that a box cover keeps the tissue box from coming with tissue when the box gets half-full. Tissue boxes in out of the way places (like under my desk on top of the computer CPU or in my craft room) get a handful of large, heavy washer rings plunked down the sides of the box to add weight and keep the box from flying around when a tissue is pulled. I have asthma so there is a box of tissues in every room!!

No ! Though many many modern ones are kinda neat ! I'm old enuf to have received one or two of those crocheted doll toilet tissue covers etc. From my grandmother... While it makes me remember her fondly and gives me a laugh they were a big Ugh! I put mine also in a bathroom cabinet . Really no space for a box !

If you keep the fold arched it does not take two hands until the last dozen. See the photo I took again. I am in Hospitality and think covers are just a waste of space and money!

I copied old family fishing photos and combined them with old ads from an old fishing magazine and decoupaged them onto a plastic Goodwill tissue box cover. Then I took some sepia tone acrylic paint and wiped it on for an antique look and decoupaged again to seal it. Have them in every room of my cabin with a twist here and there...One of a kind!

I use covers for all tissue boxes, I like to match decor of the surrounding space. I even have a galvanized tissue box in the garage! Crazy, I know but I look at every room/space as a decorating opportunity.

Container Store has a great see-thru plexiglass box for Kleenex boutique tissues. Simple and modern looking.

I like the ideals of taking them out of the box and putting them into something out side the box, square, round, trianglar.. Just let them out of the BOX.

I voted yes, even though I don't have them myself. If I could find one like the top photo, I would buy it. Haven't seen any around here that I like.

Definitely a necessity! There are so many fun ones and sophisticated ones, too. I don't like taking them out of the box (sheer laziness! plus I don't like seeing them bunched up in a clear container).

I love organic materials, and would never consider woven plastic. I like the rattan cover in the photo at the top.

As for complaining about this stuff not being important...it's not important. I think this was set up for people interested in design. If you don't care about design of buildings and living spaces, I'm sure there are sights for what you find interesting.

I wouldn't liken a tissue box to a building design....not even close. I do realize it's all in fun or whatever. I guess I just have more important fish to fry & thought I could freely say so.

My preference is the cube shaped box. visiting a friend, I noticed a woven ceramic basket with reed handle, taller than the tissues box inside...it just looked delightfully decorative on a shelf near the sink - way away from toilet. Now I have to get out my clay...

Did you know that you can turn the good old fashion toilet paper into tissues in an elegant way? It costs less than Kleenex, Puffs etc. The quality of toilet paper you use will determine whether you will blow your nose into silk or sand paper :)

We like to cover our tissue box. A few years ago we metalcoated this plain tissue box added a few CZs and WOW!

I like our cover, mainly because it's heavy enough to keep the box from lifting off the counter when one extracts a tissue. (It's some kind of carved stone.) In general, I only like the squarish tissue-box shapes, not the rectangular ones.

Yes, even change them according to colour scheme too, Here one of mine .

A few years ago my wife ask me to come up with a cover for the cardboard boxes. I am a furniture designer and builder so my approach was of course wood and exotics.
