Our landscape consultant recommended placing 3 golden columnar yew spread through our front garden. We are afraid these seem too narrow and "popsicle" or cactus like when not planted on a corner or up next to the house. Any other ideas for getting some height/interest without fighting with our 2 trees (Mountain Hemlock on one end and Coral Bark Maple on the other). Thanks!
