Help designing patio and paths in backyard

I need help deciding the shape of the patio and paths in my backyard. Here's a diagram of our first idea. Any other suggestions/sketches would be great. I would also like to find a good place for 2-3 planter boxes (currently indicted by brown squares next to the living room).

It looks good -- where do the paths lead? What do you plan to put on the patio -- table/chairs or conversation set?

The path to the top leads to a back gate. The one that goes to the side leads to a side yard. the one on the left leads to the front gate. We plan to put a large table and some chairs on the patio. A conversation set might be a good alternative. Any suggestions for ground cover to go around planter boxes? We plan to use arbelstone for the patio. Should the paths use the same material?

Yes, if possible, the paths should be the same material as the patio. It will look great. As for ground cover, is the planter box area a shady or sunny spot?
