Help! Looking for portable air conditioner WITHOUT THE PIPE

Hi, I live in the Netherlands & I am looking for a portable air conditioner (on wheels) which doesn't have the pipe. I have a strange shape bedroom with window which doesn't really open (only very few cm) and the window is located very high from the floor. This is a rented apartment on the 5th floor. I am not allowed to do changes to the exterior so I can't drill to the outside wall (it is a sort of glass material wall so it is not even possible to drill though it even if someone would try). So I need air conditioner which works somehow different, basically for very hot space with the windows which do not really open.
Simple ventilator or a fan won't do. I tried air cooler but it also has to be near open window (!!!) and it was extremely noisy so it makes it impossible to sleep with such a terrible noise.
I appreciate your advice.

And so will the light bulb inside the refrigerator :)
The point is that the air conditioner, refrigerator, and the thermos cooler all work by taking heat out of one area and dumping it somewhere else. A hose or refrigerant line is always needed to transport the heat outside. Perhaps have a sheet metal boot/ adaptor made to transition from the narrow window opening to the hose?

Hi, years ago i bumped into the seebeck effect in the encyclopedia. So, i googled "seebeck air conditioner. Here's just one link http://www.customthermoelectric.com/

It's pretty neat how it works. In theory, there are no moving parts except for fan that blows the cooler air into your room. The thermos that plugs into a car cigarette lighter i believe works on the Seebeck effect

If you run the refrigerator with the door open, will the room get hotter or colder if there are no other outside influences on the room?

Whoops. The refrigerator will continuosly run. The compressors heat shall heat up the room

Thank you, yes indeed the hot air needs to be pumped out. I was unable to find ANY model (real airco) which works differently :-(
The back of the refrigerator is hot where those tubes are (I can't check mine it's built-in) and their job is to cool a closed relatively small space. I guess with the airco it is for a much larger space. The tube if left in the room will blow the warm/hot air back into the room so it won't work.
What I though is the following solution:
put the pipe through a door opened just enough to blow the hot air into the hallway - only for the night so I can sleep. Indeed I will have obstacle to get to the bathroom in the night but that's the only solution I can think of.
I don't know about that extension to the window, first of all it would run through the whole room and around the bed I guess so it would have been a very long gigantic pipe, wouldn't see the bedroom anymore :-)
Feel really disappointed about all this and not sure what to do...

Yes. Running the pipe into the hall will be better than nothing at night.

You might want to experiment with leaving the window open slightly and/or a small quiet fan in the hall to dissipate the heat buildup in the hall for optimum performance. Otherwise, the hot air buildup in the hall will try to spill back into the bedroom after a while.

You might be out of luck. I had a similar issue but couldn't find an easy solution in canada. Not to sound cheeky, but you might have to go old school - http://m.wikihow.com/Sleep-Comfortably-on-a-Hot-Night

In most cases, your portable air conditioner will not need to be drained.

Edgestar, Avallon and Koldfront portable air conditioners use a condensation exhaust system to expel water vapor collected during the dehumidifying/cooling process. This moisture is released through the exhaust hose along with hot exhaust air.
