The species of wood is Fur #1 from Brian Moore Log & Timber Homes. I've contacted them to find out the stain colour used and will post that once I have the info. Thanks for your interest!

Love this Gable, building a similar style home in NJ. What are the dimensions of this GABLE? What size is the horizontal timber with the slight arch as well as the vertical's pinned through? Awesome design, nice work.

The stain colors for this home are as follows:
The color of the under side and soffit was duckback log home oil autumn brown. The darker color on the beams was a custom color we made which was the autumn brown with b-36 added. The b-36 is black pigment. Hope this helps.
