I would treat each window individually, rather than having wide drapery panels connect the windows. Here's some pictures of what I mean:





If possible, you may want to post a few more pictures of the room. That will help others to give you some suggestions about furniture placement and decorating.

I can't tell if that's a rug or an ottoman in front of the sofa. If it's a rug, it's too small. And whichever it is, it's the wrong color. Your sofa is warm, the ottoman/rug thing is cool, and they're too close in value to work.

If this were my room, I'd start with the art--something big for over the sofa--and let that inform the color palette. From there you can choose curtains, rugs, and accessories.

why is the sofa jammed against the window on the left side? And I agree with groveraxle about rug/ottoman color choice. As usual she has answers as well as critiques.

You could pull the sofa away from the wall and put a sofa table behind it, which will be a good place for lamps and art objects.

Groveraxle - It is an ottoman in front on the sofa which is the same colour unfortnatly the photo is great. The image you have greated for me is really helpful, just want i need as i do stuggled to visulise things some times but this hase been inspiring.
