I just purchased a house and am redoing the kitchen. the cabinets are in great shape, but the color is dated and the current paint job was done poorly. I am painting the walls light grey with white trim. It is currently a galley kitchen, but we are knocking down a wall to create an open concept. I am trying to decide between white cabinets with a white granite/quartzite with grey veins/ undertones or dark cabinets with the same type of counter. The floors are travertine, but the floors in the rest of the house are reclaimed pine and have a ton of character. Now that the kitchen will be open to the family room, I don't know what color to do the cabinets or if I can even achieve a nice dark brown on already painted cabinets. Can someone please help?
