The shingles are stained, but the project was completed about 10 years ago and we no longer have information on the stain color that the homeowner selected.

I want to build my house off the ground like yours because it is economical to build that way, it keeps the house cooler in a hot/humid environment, and reduces the risk of flooding (my property is near a river). Questions: What system do you use to build your houses off the ground-type of pier, how high? What do you use to protect the bottom of the house from termites? What methods do you use to keep your houses cool in summer and warm in winter? Thanks in advance for your time and answers.
