Shower arm length

I have a 48x36 shower. I am going to buy the Hansgrohe raindane S 300, which is 12 inches and weighs 4.7 lbs. Should I go with a 16 inch shower arm or a 20 inch one (Rohl, 2.5 lbs)? I have read on Amazon that the 20 inch arm bends with the 12 inch showerhead. My concern with the 16 inch is that I would then possibly be too close to the shower wall with its trim/valve. Which one do you recommend?

I have a large shower ( about 5.5 ft long) so went with a 20 inch arm on one end with a large rain shower head...and there is no sign of any bending ! Unless you are buying a real cheapo arm I can't see why if would be bending....
