It will look nicer if you put some mouldings

I like all colors. Just want the room to pop. Since everything is a solid color, I thought printed curtains would be best but wanted some feedback.

I would do a print curtain in black and cream and yellow as an accent colour for pillows etc.

May I just say I love all the windows in this space of your home! They make this room! Which is why I am wondering, and I apologize right now if I am offending you by speaking to something you were not addressing, but what about moving the tv to between those fantastic windows. It would mean the table needs to be turned, but it looks like that would work, too, and how nice to have a table and a window together!!! Maybe the rug can also turn and then scoot the sectional up closer so it will be easier to view the tv.

With the neutral colors you have, you get to choose your accent color....slate blue? A golden color? Even red??? Yes, a pattern in the drapes....small pattern....and some fun pillows that tie in with the drapes.

    What a beautiful home!!!

I would do a print curtain with as many vibrant strong colors as it is possible to find. then repeat those colors in sofa pillows. your nice room is in danger of being boring.

Love all the ideas! Need help with placing furniture as well. The tv is killing me. I would like it hung on the wall but we are renting so we'd rather not put a hole in it. The tv between the windows is a great idea. What do you think about this area rug in the first pic? Or should I stick with the white? If I stay with the white rug, what do you think about the two curtains below? Thanks for all your great ideas!

What do you think of the tv against empty wall on the right of the French doors? The couch would then turn to face the French doors and dining table would stay as is?

Oh! That would work, too! Thanks for showing that part of this room! And then the art could stay there, too, as I really like it. And you would also have a view out the doors there. Would love to see it!!! I never know how far tv equipment can be moved so sometimes I hesitate suggesting the tv goes too far.

Are there electrical outlets in the pony wall? Consider raising that wall some, wiring it for TV to hang on it. Then float the sectional out in front of the French doors.

You need to rearrange some things. I would remove the framed painting/picture and place it elsewhere . Instead you can put the tv there. Because the focal point is the tv I'm assuming . Not sure how big your space is but rearrange so that living space and dining are seperate.

Here's an updated photo of the furniture rearrangement. The curtains are black with floral print that incorporates blues, greens, reds and oranges. Thoughts on this?

I bet if feels sooooo good to have the window open in this room now. Plenty of room to walk between the sectional and the dining chairs?

Are you thinking of drapes at all the windows? They sure seem to be perfect with what I see at the dining window.

The bench under the window works, too. When you do pillows, get a few for it, too. What about a big plant for that corner by the bench for some height right there, unless curtains will stack at that end???

Trying to figure out why I just got your update and it says it was Saturday morning??? STRANGE! Oh, well! Just glad I got it!

I think rearranging the couch the way you did makes it look a lot better. Not only are you able to now look outside and feel the natural lighting coming in during the day, but it also fills out the room in a way it didnt before. Great change!

Dilemma: Those floral curtains in previous pic are too dark. Also, my husband is not a fan of printed curtains so am now changing gears to either a sheer fabric or textured solid or silk? He seems to want to stick with the brown color scheme and sleek look of our espresso furniture.

What about blinds? Would that be an option? They come in dark.

No, we are renting this house.

A sheer in your accent color would be nice and fairly inexpensive, too.
