What should I flank this dresser with?

I need help in our bedroom. It's a large room, but am having a hard time deciding what to put next to each side of the dresser. They are not equal widths from lights to each side of the wall. I was thinking of large dark bookshelves? Is that too much darkness? Should they be metallic or white or should I have something else? Also, on the far right of the room there is a door that leads outside so I am limited to anything with too much depth.

I would not put anything on each side. I would put a nice club chair in the corner to the right of the dresser.
Another thought would to put a floor mirror on each side under the sconces and replace mirror over dresser with a painting;)

you could use a larger cabinet and 2 chairs, or turn the bed around and see what it looks like ,your photos are a bit difficult to see ,can you please take more pictures from a different angle to include the whole room?
    here is one idea

Pairs of chairs, possibly with high or decorative backs, possibly with upholstered seats with a pop-y print or color. Wish I could figure out how to attach a photo.

I like Margo's suggestion of not putting anything on the left side of the dresser and a club chair, angled, on the right. No need to fill every corner.

Add a chaise lounge in the right corner. You probably won't need anything on the left wall.

Not sure how to add these to the original post so here are more photos of the space. I have about 3 feet of depth since there is a door and hallway on either side.

I thought of simple chairs on either side but I'd prefer moving the dresser entirely from that wall if you have another spot for it. The window and the lovely sconces make a nice statement on their own and create an elegant space. People forget that space itself is an element. Every openness does not need to be filled up with something.

Yes, why is it too neutral? The floors are really dark so I don't want anything too dark. Any suggestions?

Is there a television in the room? That would make a difference as well. You could try a wider dresser for starters or two stools on each side with this piece. You could also try a small chair with ottoman in right corner and leave the chest alone as is.

Yes, the whole room needs help! I am planning on putting a larger media console against the other wall, with a bigger TV and re-upholstering the chaise with more contemporary fabric. Any other suggestions on this room? Color? Rugs? lamps? what else should I add/change?

Given the openings in the room, I think the bed is on the correct wall.

I love your bed. It's fabulous. But I think the mirror and rug are wrong. I also don't think I'd paint the walls, just because the space has so many angles and surfaces, I don't know where I'd start and stop. Plus, white suits a modern space like this.

If I move the bed it will be in the walkway from hall/connecting master bath to backdoor (where our hot tub is!). Plus you would see the side of the bed then when you walk into our room (the bed is around a corner now). I like the privacy of that since I have 4 kids!

The back door is wrong too, but I don't know how to fix it, so I didn't. I couldn't find a chaise I wanted for your room, but I found a chair that illustrates how wild I think you could go with reupholstery.
