I would LOVE to see photos. We are getting ready to start the main bath and master bath for remodel and doing the master bath in a white/gray theme with carrara (real or faux haven't decided) and then black & tan look for the main and that's where the cabernet glass mosaics will go in the shower nooks & border...wish me luck & sounds like yours came out great!...

Did you ever pursue this idea? We have a 1917 Georgian-Revival Colonial home in MD and are redoing all the bathrooms at the moment. Our daughters' bathroom on the third floor is going to have a mix of traditional subway tile with glass mosiac tile - Oceanside Glasstile. The subway kept it very traditional to me, but the ocean glass adds a little updated, pretty spa-like feel. Here's the tile we're using along with Daltile's Arctic White subway tile and traditional sinks, fixtures, etc.

That tile is beautiful and I think will go great with the subway tile. We did the mosaic as a border and in the niche and it came out great. The bathroom is still transitional/traditional yet the pop of the mosaic came out great. I will get some pics up here as soon as it's all done. Good luck and would love to see your finished product!

That looks lovely! On the glass tiles (in the mosaic, you can see them in the grid above), only some of them are a clouded glass but still translucent. Do you think I need a backing then? Would you see the grid of the tile mesh otherwise?

I did a post about the Starglass/Star Quartz grout that is designed for glass tiles and has reflective properties, but I no one has answered.

It's not actually a net backing. The tiles are just "coated" so they are not transparent. I personally do not like seeing any grout at all.
