In this case, I agree that the finishes are just too different to look good together.

I like that they don't match, but have the same flavor. How close are the sconces to the chandelier? Even if they matched, if might be a bit much to have them in the same vignette together. I prefer wearing either a fancy necklace and smile earrings, or wow earrings and either no necklace or a simple necklace.

All together might be too much unless huge entry way even if the did match...let the chandelier shine and have something more subdued yet coordinating for the sconces

It's from Restoration Hardware. A replica much cheaper at LNT.com. With such a huge cost difference, I'm going to try the cheaper one first.

I agree with Jen. A glitzy chandelier and such similar sconces seems like over kill, kinda gaudy. And the mismatch finish might look like a mistake, rather than intentional. if they had opposite or even compatible Styles, it would be obvious it was a design choice.

Take a dominant color from art in the foyer and look for crystal/sparkling sconces in that color. Could be crushed glass, etc.

I have a bit of an eclectic taste and think finishes that do not match would be fine as long as they had the same feel. I think they are lovely...

Love the chandelier and the wall sconce... crystals are slightly different. May consider another option or two below
