My decorating style is modern..my furniture is black and white and there's a rose pink coloured accent wall adjacent to this wall too..I would prefer anything that adds a spark to my room..makes it more classy and attractive. :) umm and I've looked for some designs for the standing mirror but found nothing impressive..maybe you can suggest ? I want something that makes a statement..definitely not simple cause my whole room is SIMPLE and this has to be something which changes that !

Can you switch up the light fixture there? I'm thinking a swag chandelier from the fixture (pink? rose?) (wire it into fixture, hang from chain looped up to the ceiling) with a wall mirror in black border leaning against wall for starters.

Okay you have a bit of mix and match going on there! The idea of black white pink and purple is great I assume you like these colours? On the wall that you dont like I am thinking of shaddow boxes in different sizes and painted black you can pick these up at homeware stores and markets, then get some samples of wall paper that you like and stick the wall paper on the inside back of the boxes! any colours you want! On the wall behind you bed maybe 3 black and white pictures or large modern photos! add some industrial standing lamps to either side of your bed, and do you have any bed side tables?Unfortunately you have a stained door and brown around the wardrobe this throws the black and white theme a bit can anything be painted or no?

Shadow boxes and peel n stick mirrors are hard to find inmy locality..it's India after all ! I like all of yours ideas..I wish you could be more specific cause I'm REALLY confused ! Getting something painted is'nt possible but I'll try if the border around the wardrobe can be painted bblack ! Also yeah I like that idea of a vanity along with a mirror but i can only afford a mirror for now..guys my budget is very low..help me accordingly..and what about a crystal side lamp on the bedside table in the right ?

Can you paint the wooden door and trim? That would help make things look like it is not chopped up so much.....I think I would add some silver into the mix as far as details when you have more in your budget. Here is a very ornate silver floor mirror on ebay. You may want to check that site out for bargains. OR since you live in India, there are sooooo many beautifully carved doors and items around. IF you can find one that is considered salvage, you could paint it and add mirror to it. And then some hanging lanterns in silver may be pretty for light in the room. :)

Here are some old doors that have been repurposed.....I think it would be really cool if you could add a vanity and bench type thing attached to the door as seen on the right in the first picture. You wouldn't have to make it look distressed though as shown here. You could paint it whatever color you want to go with your room.

Well the floor length mirrors are usually about the size of a door....but sizes vary. If you go to ebay type in floor length mirror and then click on the left for the FREE shipping one! :) You will have lots to choose from!! Another good place to look is on Overstock.com. Sometimes they have some deals on accessories.

p.s. you can also make your own mirror out of wood molding and have a mirror cut the right size. OR look for interesting picture frames and put mirror inside those.

If you cant get the shadow boxes, black picture frames would work and it doesnt need to be wallpaper you can use wrapping paper anything you can get that you like.and make a collage of frames on the wall! If you can paint the trim on the wardrobe black it would help! Can you get the self adhesive mirror tiles if so maybe a line of them above you bed accross the wall would brighten the room up too! You can also buy these removable wall stickers on ebay! these could be used on your wardrobe or the wall!

Yes it would, so for the wall above you bed just a large black and white or some of the wall art from my last blog, the stickers would look great and they can be taken off so the shouldnt harm the wall. The other idea I have seen is a strip of wall paper above the bed across the wall? If you are not keen on these ideas I will see what else I can find that would suit!

You could put a paint from roy lichtenstain and give more of a pop art design in your room. Here is an example

and here is an example of the paper in the picture frames! except yours wouldnt be in a line! and maybe brighter coloured paper! and use at about 5 frames. The idea of a back board behind the bed is great as it is just boarding covered in fabric, It wouldnt have to be as high as this, you could choose any fabric you like and not only do you decorate the wall above your bed, you get a bed head as well, could use modern fabric with black white, pink and maybe blue? replaces the art work on the bed wall!

You can use some stickers specialy made for walls... Here is a website that i got mine and i am very happy. First you click at e-shop then you click the oikostick and you will find many of them in awsome colors. The first pages are pretty crazy but if you go at the 4th page you can find some awsome ones. A bed head isn't possible..I'm afraid it would look clumsy if i would put anything on the wall above the bed cause the wall is already textured so it may not really need anything and second that there are two interferences the switch board and the light. And I've found a great design for the mirror..I'll get a custom made with black coloured birders..right ? And the paintings and wallpaper idea ! Right now i have my exams going on..after them I'm goin to do that too :) I don't even know if any website except ebay ships to India (for the decals)Anyway you guys have been a great help..anything else in anyone's mind ?

Since you have the bold pink accent wall, would you consider painting the other walls a pale pink that harmonizes with it? I do like your vibrant and cheerful color scheme!

A standing mirror in that room will just clutter the floor. And there is not enough room for you to stand back away from it to use it well in that location. Hang a thin mirror on a wall so that you can use it properly.
