Island Pendant Lights

Hi Houzzers,

Now time to figure out the pendant lighting over Island. Currently, in the great room, I have 2 of these from JDG

So, over the island, I have 3 boxes... Some ideas from JDG (Is alabaster too matchy - matchy?)

Another one (JDG) - offered in Blown or Opal glass

Something a little more rustic

And @flo - I do like the other pendants you suggested from other thread!!!

And I agree with Luckyblueeye ... keep it free of pendants. Keep it open! The space is gorgeous. You did an amazing job Marcaevens.

While I agree it looks nice without, I think I need to do 3 lights for a few reasons
1. Wiring and boxes are already there (I could cap and patch)
2. Planned on task lighting over island
3. Light to bring more warmth to island stone

In that case I would keep the lights very simple, close to Galilee's last picture. That way they provide light, but don't look like a fixture, just a source of light that is closer to your counter. I would not introduce a new finish, texture or color at eye level. The white in Galilee's picture goes well with your cabinets and doesn't create business.
