Kitchen before and after

Was on here sometime ago asking about painting or cherry cabinets. Got the advice to go away on the counters and I'm so happy with the results! Also added undercabinet lighting, switched out hardware, cut down the island to one level, switched out pendants. The only thing I am not loving is the pendants. Anyone have any thoughts on something that might look a bit nicer? These are from IKEA and up close look pretty cheap.

Nice job! As to the pendants, they are OK, but seem really blinding in the light department. That just might be the effect of the photo. Are they on a dimmer? That might help. I think you have not yet quite landed on style for this space. The cabinetry take it country and some of your wall hangings in the other room are a bit casual, but the pendants look kind of modern? Your appliances are black? I think black on the pendants might be a better choice?

Making the island one flat surface is a huge improvement. Love that. bbl

Something like this might work better. Simple lines so that takes it more modern, but the black works with your appliances and the downward lighting would be helpful for your cooking surface and the surfaces of this would be easily cleanable.

Yes flo, they are on a dimmer but I really think you're right on the style.
They don't fit. I like the ones you've posted!
