That wardrobe is beautiful. I'd keep to light or medium woods for the rest of the furniture.

Are you sure you want to invest in that massive cabinet? It's almost certainly guaranteed that the movers will damage it when bringing it into your home, and then again when you move into your next home, etc, until it ends up on Craigslist for sale at a fraction of the price you paid for it. And speaking of Craigslist, have you checked out your local CL listings for midcentury pieces? You won't believe the stuff you will find there--authentic pieces with tremendous character and style. Things don't have to be all matchy-matchy where furniture is concerned. Buy the things you love that carry the MCM vibe you want, and you will create a fabulous, intriguing space. Plus, what I think is so cool about shopping on Craigslist is that it's easy to replace and refresh when you see something you like better--and you won't have invested your hard-earned money on behemoth furniture pieces that consume the room instead of filling it with style.

Mid mod is all about clean lines and angles, perfect proportions, simple materials, not much embellishment. When it is embellished, it's straightforward and sleek. You can have handles or not; just be sure they keep the same simple aesthetic.

Mrs Doubtfire, I'm gonna have the wardrobe custom made locally. material is going to be walnut solid wood; not melamine or chip board. And as far as I know nobody get a wardrobe in full size from the door of the house :) It will be assembled in place. But thank you for your advice.

If you have the wardrobe custom made, it is going to be difficult to match.

That is why I suggested not matching it.

The confusion I have is, that I don't want handles with the wardrobe, but I wand some kind of handles with the rest of the furniture. Preferable made of wood or like un-noticed handles, if you know what I'm trying to say.

I love the nightstand Groveraxle posted above. I agree not to "match" everything. Just get the lines right. Style needs to be cohesive. Finishes could (maybe should) vary.

I need to place a TV in the room, is it bad to place it on a sideboard / credenza?

And can I get a chest of drawers to place a mirror on it?

Love your mid century look. Stay with it in night stands and bed. Keep bedding simple. Go a bold color, like orange accessories.

Keep the look as same as you show, no handles.

dowdow, the style is called mid-century modern. Danish modern would also go. The legs are usually a dead giveaway. I explained what to look for above. Here are some pieces that would fit:

The problem is the handles, because I think I would really like if the handles are carved in wood [if you can understand what I'm trying to explain]. Because due the fact that the wardrobe will have no handles.

Have you ever thought about a custom wall unit? You could design it exactly to how you picture it in your mind and choose any finish you want.

dowdow, things don't always have to match down to the handles. A little variety is good. That said, if you find a dresser you like, change out the handles to wood.
