Post Harvey Tiny living

430 square feet, family of 5 (plus the dog). this is a room, closet and half bath attached to our garage that we converted to living quarters after we flooded. hard to take photos that show everything, but we have got all we need (minus a shower) and will live here while we tear down and build a new (4' higher) home.

The kids room (pardon the mess). 11.5' x7.5'. My 5, 9, and 11 year old share this room. they will either be super close or need extensive therapy when this is over. time will tell.

You have an amazing attitude and I look forward to your progress. What a great idea to be right there on site while you tear down and rebuild after Harvey.

Your children are lucky to have such a great example to follow in the wake of a disaster. I was wondering where you shower since you said the space only had a half bath....the travel trailer! Thank goodness you are resourceful.

So many life lessons ...from this experience...for you and your family...your innovative ...creative use of space....your positive attitude that you will not just survive but thrive through this......is a gift to your children’s attitude toward future challenges....an example of no matter what happens you still try to help out people even worse off than you are....you should be proud and you family is lucky to have you.....
