Your photo didn't upload. But with orange wood floors and not a lot of light, I would look for a lighter warm white rather than a tan color for the walls.

IMO that color has a pink undertone so if that is okay with you do it. I personally like grayed greens much more than beiges or grays if you want something that works with the floors and is still very neutral.

Thank you all. I know beige is frowned upon but I really am looking for a warm light tan. Years ago I used a Martha Stewart's Buckwheat. Of course now I have a different home and that color would not look the same. Every warm white/ beige tan I put up on the wall look grey in this room! I'll upload a few photos of the Baby Fawn (it identical to edgecomb grey) and looks cold and awful .

how can natural linen look grey? ! argh. going to try out SW Canvas Tan sample today.

You might also check our BM's Maritime White. In the samples I tried in our home, it was pretty much a lighter version of Canvas Tan.

mom2co, I am looking for the same color! I just tried canvas tan (too light) and Edgecomb Gray (maybe) today! Behr Sandstorm is a maybe also...it's a little darker.

The bottom 2 look good with floor & u could have them tone it down a shade.

OK-I have looked up the colors you posted and here they are from Brightest to Darkest in terms of LRV (Light Reflective Value) or the amount of light absorbed or reflected from the perception of this color. Scale 0-100 with 100 reflecting most light (lighter). BM Muslin 10337- has an LRV of 67 so above medium reflective quality. It is in the Yellow Hue family right on the line between warm and cool. C2-863 Buckwheat and Natural Linen BM-966 both are 60 LRV and also in the Yellow Hue Family smack dab in the middle/warm/cool depending on lighting. BM Shaker Beige HC-45 Classic Collection has a LRV of 53. It is in the Yellow Hue Family but in the warm segment and moving toward the Yellow Red Hue family. So this would be the "warmest" choice of these colors. May I suggest a lighter shade for your room and I would select SW Natural Choice-7011. It has an LRV of 73 so brighter but still in the Yellow Hue family and in the cool segment so significantly lighter, but still a pretty clear beige. Of course, your lighting is critical. I suggest you get a sample of this color from samplize.com A bargain if you want to limit the number of cans of sample paints you get. Plus it gives a true indication of the color. The colors you have selected are very close to each other in their color characteristics, but they are darker and not in favor for most homes today. Of course, your decision. Another "match" you might want to look at to Buckwheat that is a close match is SW Believable Buff. LRV of 59, and other parameters are very close to Buckwheat.

Hello experts! Me again. So I painted a large section of the wall with the BM Natural Linen 966 . It looks GOOD. But I need a bit more pigment so it is not too close to the trim color. Will increasing the pigment 50% do the trick?

Natural Linen is dark enough already to provide contrast with your trim. Don't go any darker. The Edgecomb grey has a LRV of 63.88 so the Natural Linen (LRV 60) will be darker than that.

Love the natural linen in your space! What color is your trim? I’m looking at natural linen(pink undertones coming through in my space), neutral ground(looks a bit gray), and canvas tan which seems a good medium between the two mentioned.
