Sample boards made - two with the new star and cross tile, with White and Praline grout colors, and a third with my old star and cross, with Silverado.

(The third board is for finally decoupaging the outlets in the pantry, which have stuck out like a sore thumb for years) - you may be able to pick them out in the below picture, if you try really hard....

I'll post better pictures once the grout has dried.

Eam - you'll like this. For the third sample board, I had to hunt down the remaining tile left over from the original job. (Different glazes).

Aren't these great together? Especially, when you consider the grout can be a third color. Anyway, I might be able to find a use for the remaining tile from both batches.

OB2B - I vote for the white grout!

motherof3sons - DH and I felt the same way yesterday! Now, however, it's become too light (you lose the definition of the tile pattern). The praline has a little yellow in it and I think goes well with the floor and trimwork. If that doesn't further lighten, that will be the one:) Otherwise, on to the next sample(s).

If the yellow undertone works Id go with the Praline. I like the gentle definition achieved with the contrast. I love your tile and new pantry. I enjoyed reading the thread on the build, just now.

Thanks enduring! It's been so very rewarding to have taken the project from design to completion. BTW - on the pantry pocket door, I ended up using the same edge pull you'd used - much easier for DH's fingers than what I originally purchased. (Your pocket door and hardware are beautiful).
