Would stacked stone be "too much" for an allover backsplash?

I have just ordered "painted linen cabinets with a copper glaze" and have chosen colonial cream granite and a copper farmhouse sink. My kitchen is approx. 21'(including breakfast area) x 10'- so long and narrow. The backsplash that I have chosen is "desert quartz ledgestone". Would it be too much to use it for the entire backsplash? It looks a bit busy here and my kitchen is narrow. It also looks difficult to cut outlets around. I would have loved a medallion behind the range, but I don't think it will work with the ledgestone. The ledgestone is beautiful by itself. Any advice would be appreciated. I have to finalize the granite on Monday. Thank you in advance.

I'm using a similar one allover, but in a media room bar. I think it would be too much in a kitchen this size, but if it's a much smaller space, I think it's cool.

Stacked stone is beautiful but should never be above the stove, give it a few home cooked dinners and grease will be caked on.
