with black paperstone countertops doing a waterfall edge on the peninsula counter we could paint the back portion charcoal/black and have the cabinet doors still match the rest of the cabinets, and do the separate section with the sink, etc. in a different complimentary way, such as they have surrounding the stovetop here.

interesting idea to build in a bench along the wall underneath the window in the dining room that can be used with the table when company is over, but also contains storage for seldom used things!

I like the timeless colour coordination with the medium wood tones and white to brighten. Not a big fan of the lights or backsplash but overall effect is nice.
