Reply to: Pick a different top. Please? Taj Is not the only slab and the overall feel you want doesn't lend itself well. I think you are torn between looks and a feel. A counter top in the bath, unless you have ten feet of it? Is actually the least noticeable element. A bath floor and the shower walls followed by vanity and above vanity details are FAR more noticeable, and in your face. Pick ONE star of the show, and you don't need over design to feel traditional. Personally? I don't like Taj in a bath - it's harder by far to pair with tiles. I LOVE it in a kitchen. jmho

Reply to: Bedrosians new MAGNIFICA product is by far the best in the Large format Porcelain Slabs- they are made in Italy. The looks could not be more realistic. Reply to: There is water resistant as well as water proof (exterior) MDF. We use the water resistant type on almost all we do. It does not swell when gets wet. The problem is probably nobody will make you a door using it.

Reply to: @josephdwork. a latex improved mix that is suitable for thin coats. More importantly, a membrane UNDER coat, (either paint on (Laticrete Hydro ban) or a thin sheet variety (Schluter Kerdi) is VITAL. A sealant is only for sheeting purposes, NOT waterproofing a shower assembly. I would look at exterior grade commercial trowel grade coating for that look. A stucco blend should work well

Reply to: Sorry I've not heard of this quartz, but I must say that it is one of the nicer marble-look quartz products around. At least from a distance, it looks authentic.
