Good advice below for color in a room. This is my living room plan....light colored chairs, curtains and walls with touches of orange! Use restraint with bright colors. I love color; however, a room can suffer if there is too much of a good thing. Bright colors are best shown against crisp white details like casings or curtains. Note the neutral furniture that allows the paint color and vivid art to set the cheerful palette.
