Ralph and his team delivered a beautiful house! Our house was decimated by Hurricane Helene. We were fortunate to contract with Artisan Design early on. Ralph navigated the permit process, consulted on new designs, and oversaw the work crews. The quality of the work was top notch and Artisan Design followed up on every detail. Bottom line, we were back in our home before most of our neighbors. We highly recommend Artisan Design to anyone wanting top quality design and construction.

The team at Artisan Design is spectacular and great to work with from beginning to end! To start, the best part of working with Artisan Design was the genuine concern for the client. Led by Ralph, every single person focuses on what is best for the people they’re working with. We’ve been through multiple remodels on previous homes and found that for most people, it can be both exciting and become stressful. Ours was unplanned due to the 2024 storms which heightened the stress level for everyone however even with the additional uncertainly, changing city permit requirements and concerns about the future Ralph was calm, kept us calm, and just got it done. At the initial on-site meetings and the showroom, Ralph (and the team) spent the time to get to know us, listened to the “feel” we were looking for and helped guide us through the sometimes overwhelming amount of choices. We were skeptical about a couple of items (backsplash) but opted to trust him and they turned out to be the highlights of the project. As you would expect, the team at Artisan doesn’t do “good enough”. It’s one thing to have a plan, it’s another to ensure it is executed flawlessly. The finished results show quality throughout with no shortcuts or “its close”. If it wasn’t right, it just got redone no question, no debate, no change orders. Finally, Artisan was extremely helpful in ensuring we spent the right amount of money in the right spots. As we got into the project, and issues naturally present themselves, the entire team was great about suggestions to take advantage of opportunities enhancing the overall project and/or cost saving options. All up front and no surprises.

Artisan Design did an excellent job with the rebuild of my house which was flooded with 2 feet of water after Hurricane Helene in September 2024. The work went smoothly and required only one change order where I requested additional work. Ralph Mills worked closely with my insurance adjuster and was able to get me a large second payment to cover the bulk of the rebuild expenses. The quality of the rebuild materials was very high and they were very responsive to my requests and questions. The best part was not having to hassle with and schedule individual contractors. Also, the punch list stage at the end - which is typically the most difficult to wrap up - went totally smoothly and in a timely manner. I highly recommend Artisan design including its principal Mr. Mills, the friendly and responsive office staff, and the individual contractors and company handymen.

We can't say enough about our bathroom renovations. Pat and Joe did a tremendous job managing the project. Pat was instrumental in guiding us in our design choices and EVERY sub did a great job ! Very professional, and the result was beautiful...exactly as I imagined! The renovation was way overdue and we dreaded it after speaking to others about their experiences with other GCs. They began in Jan 2024 and the project was completed in June, on schedule, with perfect attention to every detail. We'd highly recommend Artisan Design to anyone considering a remodel.

My wife and I hired Artisan Design to complete an extensive renovation to our condominium in South Tampa. We collaborated with Ralph and Patricia to come up with a design that would be timeless and classy. Once our plan was complete Ralph and Patricia helped us to select finishes and then commenced the renovation. The renovation was on budget as we discussed. As Artisan cautioned us, there were unforeseen challenges, but Artisan addressed the challenges and provided effective and efficient solutions. This is my second renovation project with Artisan Design. I have no reservations giving Artisan (Ralph and Joe) my highest recommendation. The project in 2023 had a few challenges but the Artisan team expertly solved every one. We hired Artisan Design, out of Tampa, for our complete condo renovation in St. Petersburg, FL. We started designs in October 2022 and demo started in January 2023, one day after we moved out. Our collaboration with Artisan Design could not have been smoother. Artisan Design's top priority was to do quality work and to get us back into our home quickly. There were numerous tradespeople working every single day. I particularly liked the online schedule that gave complete transparency to the construction process. I have been in the design and construction industry for decades and have only the highest recommendation for their excellent team of designers, craftspeople, and tradespeople. They score 5 of 5 stars in the following categories: design, communication, construction quality, timeliness, cost, and integrity. It took only 4 months from the day we moved out to the day we returned for a complete gut renovation that was on time, on budget and the finest quality. We had the privilege of having Artisan Design remodel the kitchen of our newly purchased 1920's home in Hyde Park. I initially started with another design company when i noticed several significant design errors and decided to look for another company. So glad I did!! Ralph and his team do top quality work. The entire team is highly skilled, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. From the design through installation, each step was beautifully executed. The footprint of our home didn't allow for a large open kitchen; however, Ralph's creative design gave us an additional wall of cabinetry, by making the island more narrow but still functional. I love it and would have never thought of that on my own. He also helped us to make sure the dining room flowed into the kitchen by arranging the symmetry of the island with the vent hood and dining room light fixture, brilliant! We also appreciated Joe's oversight during installation of cabinetry, countertops and backsplash, insuring that all went as planned. The cabinets were installed in one day, then 2 days later the countertops were installed and then the next day the backsplash went up! Amazing! Months after my kitchen was complete, I needed a recommendation to have my hardwood floors repaired. They were damaged by a furniture delivery team. My first thought was to call Artisan Design. I know that i can trust anyone they use on their team. I called Lorraine and she connected me with Pat who remembered what type of hardwood floors I had from the kitchen photos! She immediately connected me with Henrick who is scheduled to come evaluate my floors next week! You can't go wrong with this company! I highly recommend them!

We contracted Artisan Design to do a Master Bath, Guest Bath and Laundry Room remodel. We had previously used them to do our Kitchen and Downstairs bath remodel years earlier. We hired Artisan Design to complete two projects in our home. The first one was in 2016 to build a kitchen pantry, dry bar and add cabinets to our laundry room. Our second endeavor in 2017 was much more extensive. That job included a total redo of the master bathroom and creating two walk-in closets for my husband and myself, modified ceiling lighting on the eastern side of our home, two hurricane rated doors and a change out of all interior doors in our home. If I were to ever do any other projects at our home, I would only do them with Ralph of Artisan Designs. He has great integrity and an imaginative design sense. As is true of most projects, ours took longer to complete than anticipated but I never had a second thought that it wouldn't be completed in the appropriate manner with the utmost professionalism. I think the true test of Ralph's business ethic is that his employees all speak highly of him - on both projects and always unsolicited. My belief is that if your employees respect you that is a indication that you will treat your clients the same way. I recommend that anyone considering a project talk to Ralph when choosing a contractor. You'll be glad you did!

We hired Ralph Mills with Artisan Design to help us complete our outdoor kitchen in March 2017 and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. He was very flexible in working with us and meticulous with every detail. Our space was a little tricky and required several visits for him to ensure all measurements were perfect for the layout. He suggested composite cabinets and we went with his suggestion and we are SO happy we did because it makes the outdoor kitchen look more like an indoor kitchen. They look fabulous and the quality is superb. His contractors were also super to work with and very experienced. He addressed any question or concern we had promptly. We remodeled our entire kitchen and opened it up by knocking down exterior walls. It wa saw huge undertaking, but Ralph at artisan has an eye for remodeling and is super helpful in the process! Ralph re used our existing cabinets in our island for our new cabinets to save us money. He met me at various places to pick our lighting, furniture etc. highly recommend!

We hired Artisan Design to design and install a new kitchen, 3 bathroom cabinetry, hard wood flooring and other remodeling projects. They lacked vision in their design of the kitchen, their measurements were off because the appliances did not fit and we relied on their expertise in picking out the flooring and the installation of the flooring which was a mistake. About 3/4 through the project we were forced to let them go. We had to rip out most of the kitchen and hire another kitchen designer to put a new kitchen. We also had to fix and complete their unfinished work. I My opinion: Professionalism - Average Knowledge - Average for Florida Work Quality - Not that good but better than poor Ability to meet deadlines - not good

First of all, I sincerely hope your wife Pat is recovering well from her serious accident. We became very concerned for her after the accident, wishing her well and for a speedy recovery. I'm truly sorry to hear your experience with Artisan was so negative. We strive to offer the best quality design, construction and service to all our clients and you and Pat were no exception to that standard.

Please note, we were 95% complete with the project when these concerns were raised and the project was unexpectedly pulled. Your review neglects to mention all the positive feedback we had received from you and Pat during your project up to this point; you can imagine our dismay when you decided to go another direction.

If you recall, out of the 4 different full designs we crafted for you, we have your written approvals and sign offs for cabinetry, flooring and the hand selected countertops. As far as the mishap with your appliances, again if you recall, the original appliances you purchased were from another company and fit correctly but you decided you didn’t like their appearance and sent them back. When you changed your appliances to a completely different style, the installed cabinetry also needed to be modified to accommodate them.

We did everything possible to address the changes but you had made your mind up to end the project. Regarding the beautiful wood floors you selected, they turned out absolutely gorgeous so your review was the first time I have heard anything to the contrary.

We stand 100% behind the designs and the renovation work we did for your family. The work was completed correctly per the designs and finishes agreed to. Ultimately, since there was no resolution that satisfied you or Pat, rather than let us complete the last 5% of the project, you made the decision to part ways. If there is anything we regret, it is that despite all our efforts, we could not leave you and Pat as happy as our other clients have proven to be over the years. We wish you the best and hope your kitchen turned out as you had hoped.

We sought an estimate from this company to do some minor remodeling of our kitchen. The designer/estimator they sent our was nice enough, but needed to be reminded several times to provide the quote and was ultimately over two weeks late in doing so. We really should have declined the quote there, but this was the first company we called so we decided to see how things would proceed. However, the contract they asked us to sign was absolutely awful - riddled with typos, inconsistencies, vague concepts, additional (not so) hidden fees - all of which could have been disastrous for us, particularly if any sort of dispute arose. When we requested that they clean this up, they refused, claiming that it was an industry "standard" agreement. I have been an attorney for almost twenty years and I absolutely shudder to think that any unsuspecting customer would sign such a thing. I feel sorry for those who do - beware before signing ANYTHING they put in front of you. We decided to go with another company whose contract was much better and whose quote was comparable.

Ralph and his team did an incredible job from start to finish. As a real estate professional, I knew what I wanted, along with many pictures from my Houzz account. Ralph was able to take those pictures and recreate the design to perfection. His guidance and direction gave me confidence to leave all the details in his hands... Which is hard for me! We redid the entire first floor, including kitchen, staircase railings, all flooring, removal of a huge fireplace, 3 bathrooms and custom front door. I'm so very pleased❤️

This is the second Artisan Design kitchen that we have had, the first was preexisting when we bought our house, and was the reason we ended up selecting that house. When we moved to a new house, we searched for a company that could do a kitchen like our previous kitchen and found that Artisan actually had, so the choice was easy, they were hired! The new kitchen is amazing, transformed from a dated, boxy, cramped, nonfunctional space to a beautiful, spacious, ergonomic wonder to cook in. Our surfaces are gorgeous and match the beach house feel and water view of the adjacent living room: organic-looking tile on the floor, swirling gold granite countertops, and a beach glass inspired tile backsplash. The cabinets and island are two tones, custard and light blue, that perfectly complement the other surfaces and hold everything efficiently and in a manner that is visible. We now love to use the kitchen, and our guests like to hang out with us and watch the process. I am so happy we found Artisan Design!

Artisan Design recently remodeled our entire home. We cannot say enough, they went over and beyond our expectations and their knowledge, expertise and quality was excellent. We live in a Mediterranean style home build in 1994 and not touched since. We wanted a European contemporary styled interior. That apparently, was no problem what so ever. Artisan’s Design staff was more than able to deliver the kitchen of our dreams. Very European to say the least. They created a living environment conducive to our lifestyle and taste much to that of what we experience when we travel abroad. Their construction staff was impressive, concise and efficient. What more can we say? We absolutely love our cutting edge kitchen and living areas and our master suite was an unexpected delight as well… We truly enjoy it every day. Many thanks to Artisan Design, Ralph Mills and Design / Construction Staff…. we couldn't have done it without you!!!!!!!

I had a complete kitchen remodel and everyone I worked with was above and beyond helpful. This is the 5th kitchen remodel I have done in my lifetime and by far this was the the best experience. I have seen the work that Artisan Design has done on their website and loved what I saw. I spoke to Ralph Mills about my ideas on the upgrades that I wanted to have done. His ideas were on point as well as his crew. He invested a lot of his time and effort with me. The work that was done was excellent. Once everything was completed he had a professional cleaner come by and take care of any mess. Also, he did a walk-through with me to make sure I was 100% happy with everything. He took notes on the small things that I wanted touched up, and his team completed them. I would highly recommend setting up a time with Ralph Mills and his team. They did an excellent job for me.

Finding Aritsan Design on Houzz was the best experience I every had. Their knowledge and experience make them a truly unique design firm. Also working with them, made my remodel fun and exciting. They have the ability to tranform my ideas into a truly beautiful, timeless realtiy. His team opened the rear of my home up finally exposing the best featurof the house. I live on open water in St Petersburg and had no idea what I was missing. Fabulous to say the least. Now starting the kitchen. We had a partial kitchen remodel done using our old cabinets, adding new cabinets, new countertops, backsplash,sinks and faucet, etc. Everyone we encountered during this project was extremely professional, knowledgeable about their area of expertise, on time, had cheerful and positive attitudes, were helpful when questions arose, and were efficient. This included the designer, manager, project manager, decorator, installers, and sub-contractors. During the remodel, great care was taken to keep the rest of the house as clean as possible. All workmen left the work area neat and tidy after each day's efforts. It was refreshing to work with a company who gave the white glove treatment and followed through. Even the contract was thorough and easy to read. A client definitely gets what they pay for with Artisan Design. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I hired designer Pat Thompson to "stage" my home for resale. Although it was a magnificent property it was 20 years old and "dated" in the eyes of the buying public. She created a workbook ( I called it a bible ) of step by step recommendations for each room and over the course of 2-3 months I implemented the plan with her help. What I liked most was her flexibility, she wasn't necessarily stuck on one idea or a "how to", the biggest item being my rejection of a total remodel of the kitchen. When wallpaper removal started to scar the walls we quickly decided which of the old papers had to go and which not. The bottom line is that I got $80,000 more than the appraisers said I would get ($30,000 more than I thought ) and the final testimony to Pat's prescience was that the new buyers only painted one room to suit their teenage son's wishes. Well done Pat and I thank you and would wholeheartedly recommend you to my friends.

The kitchen and bath designers at Artisan Design Tampa have more than 25 years experience and can meet any budget and any design requirement. This project was a new design for my builder and we all worked to meet a very challenging deadline. The designers from Artisan made the project an award winning one for us and although it was several years ago, the experience was one of team-work and pulling together to meet goals for the builder and the community! Overall a great experience and a good team of people to go to for expertise in the industry and honest answers to your remodeling and new building questions.
