Stephenson Design Collective

Working with Ryan and Stephenson Design Collective has been great. This is our first (and last) home building project, and we found SDC from the internet. His aesthetic was exactly what we wanted, and when we met him, his philosophy on great design being available for all budgets told us he was the architect for us. He's been easy to work with and very informative for newbies just trying to get through the process.

Ryan was the architect on my home, Summit Park. He has great vision and architectural ideas. He was great to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend Ryan and his team for the most distinct and architecturally complex projects. Truly outstanding.

Ryan was a great choice for us! Me and my husband were looking for an architect for a very modern design within sort of a normal price range. Everyone we looked at was asking $100k or more in design fees. I found him on houzz.com and contacted via email. He immediately responded and we had an initial meeting that led to us signing a contract with him. We had ideas about the house and what we want, but not super organized at the time and really needed someone to translate our vision into designs. Ryan did that for us at a fair pricing as well! Design took about 3 months and went really smooth. We had to adjust the plans twice with bigger changes and did some extra iterations for more details. All of this was done at no extra charge and with lots of care and interest in what we want vs what's easiest. We are still in permitting, but will hopefully built soon. This wouldn't have been possible without Ryan and his team. I highly recommend Ryan and his firm.

When we first met Ryan, principle of Stephenson Design Collective, we immediately felt a great connection to him and his great works that have already completed over the years. He is a very down to earth person, listening, innovating all at the right times. Working with Ryan proved very direct, easy and even fun in our fully custom project. Let's be honest, designing your own house should be fun - as well as professionally done. Ryan worked with us on every detail and utilized latest technology from 3D printing models of our house to 3D renderings (in very high fidelity "sketch up" models) that allow us to walk through every room on our own PC. His team very professionally and efficiently moved the project along until - after several refinements - we landed on our dream plans that were within financial reach. Ryan helped us through a difficult permitting process because of the environmental specialties of our building site. (only 32 feet away from ordinary high water mark of a spring-fed lake) This took it's time to get right and Ryan stayed with us, patiently moving things along when he was needed. We've become a customer for life and referred many friends.

Ryan and his team have amazing talent. We worked with SDC to design the ideal home for our growing family. They were able to capture all of our functional and aesthetic desires. The design process from start to end was very collaborative and we felt like we were a part of the process.
