Interior Cosmetics is an artisan company serving the Puget Sound area, owned and run by Dave Bishop. We specialize in refinishing existing kitchen cabinets. We are NOT a refacing company. With an impeccable reputation, Dave has been finishing fine cabinetry since 1974, and uses the best quality commercial grade finishing products available. Unlike some contractors who take many jobs at once and rely on laborers with inconsistent skills, Interior Cosmetics prefers to work with one customer at a time. We contracted with Dave to do a total cabinet refinishing in addition to a couple of custom modifications. The refinished cabinets look like brand new in all respects. The quality of the work was superior. Dave's experience and comments were helpful to us in making decisions and he was diligent about getting the work done in the agreed upon time frame. He was trustworthy and we recommend him if you are looking for top quality kitchen cabinet refinishing.

David and his son Jesse are consummate craftsmen and the end result is absolutely beautiful. Our project began on-time with door and panel removals a week before the in-house cleaning, masking, and spraying began. The major in-house work progressed on a daily basis until project completion so as to minimize disruption and down time. David carefully masked the affected areas of my home and went to great lengths to contain and remove dust and odors, and to protect newly refinished floors. There was a total cleanup after the project was completed. Highly recommended and I would hire him again.

Dave refinished our maple kitchen cabinets which was part of a full remodel of our kitchen. He was great to work with from start to finish (pun not intended). He provided excellent input regarding how to best proceed with the cabinets, whether to refinish with a "clear" product to keep the look of the wood grain or to use a product that provided more of a paint like appearance. He thoroughly explained the process that he follows and the expected time line for our project. We chose to have our cabinets refinished with pigmented conversion varnish which has the look of paint, but is a much more durable finish. We couldn't be happier with the results. The new finish on the cabinets entirely changed the look of our kitchen. If you are considering refinishing your cabinets I highly recommend that you use Dave for your project.

I could not be more pleased with how my cabinets turned out. After Dave spent quite a bit of time in my kitchen going through every single detail I knew his company would be the best fit for what I was hoping for. It turned out even better then I thought was possible. Dave and his son Jesse are very detailed and professional. There were so many flaws and poor installation issues with my original installation that they fixed that I didn't expect them to do. Interior Design Cosmetics has a much more complex process than the average "paint job" and the detail is absolutely perfect. My kitchen looks not only updated but brand new. I highly recommend them, the quality doesn't get any better.

Jeff and Leslie Meyer Dave Bishop and his son, Jesse, did an outstanding job refinishing our kitchen cabinets. They started and finished the job on time and were on budget. They were extremely meticulous with every detail including taping up the entire kitchen, which kept the dust at an absolute minimum. They also cleaned all the work spaces when they were finished. Dave and Jesse are true craftsmen and take great pride in the quality of their work and it shows. We highly recommend Interior Cosmetics without any hesitation.

Where do we begin? We are so happy! After living with maple colored cabinets for 13 years, we decided to repaint them rather than replace. We were extremely careful in choosing a contractor for this project in order to maintain the integrity of our Buchan model home. David did not disappoint. He came to look at our kitchen, family room built ins and mantel and gave us a price to paint all. He also brought a sample of what the finish would be like which immediately eased my worries of seeing any brushstrokes. His work is meticulous and the quality is outstanding. He was very good about communicating with us at every level and also offered additional services to enhance the project. He replaced and rebuilt our wine rack that was built into our cabinetry and also replaced the cabinet hinges with soft close hinges. I love them! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire David from Interior Cosmetics again!!!!

Dave Bishop, the owner of the company, spent half an hour talking my wife and me through the method for fixing a problem ourselves. He didn't charge us anything for consulting with us, and he did it while he was at a job site working on a paying job for another customer. As a result we avoided having to hire a contractor to fix our problem. Needless to say, we are grateful to him for taking the time to help us out with no profit for himself. We will hire Dave the next time we need a project done at the house.
