After spending the better part of 12 months working with other teams to try and develop a design for our river front cottage, we ended up with a design that we weren’t comfortable or confidant with. We initially approached JayWest to help with a cosmetic overview of the existing plans. After the initial consultation meeting, it was abundantly clear their design and construction experience could provide far more then an overview. We immediately engaged the JayWest team to re-design our entire cottage with their artistic rendering of our ideas we discussed in our consultation meeting. Over the course of 2 months from our initial meeting, we both a well planned design and were engaged through the process. With current restrictions in place, we were able to complete the design process via email and with a few virtual meetings to help visualize different concepts and ideas. The teams attention and explanation of the details inspired a level of trust and comfort that our design has not only addressed our personal preferences, but also incorporated the challenges of construction into the design. Not only would I recommended Coulter, Craig and their experienced team to others, but fully intend to continue using their expertise to address the design evolution through the construction this spring (2021).

It was an easy decision to build our dream home with JayWest Country Homes after a couple visits to their show home office. We met Coulter, his father, Jay, and several staff members during these initial visits which solidified our decision to hire them. The staff are phenomenal and transformed our vision into a 3D reality. We wanted a post and beam home for our acreage just west of Calgary and so we customized the Invermere floor plan to reflect what we really wanted in our home. When we were reseaching builders it was very important to us that the staff and trades had worked many years for the company. After working with Coulter, his staff and meeting some of the sub trades we feel they have the experience and expertise to meet our expectations of high quality workmanship. We are very excited to see our home become a reality over the next few months and our relationship with JayWest has been nothing but positive!

From start to finish Jaywest Country Homes have been the best ever. They were patient and helpful for my husband and I as owner builders doing 90% of the work ourselves. We first approached Coulter and his friendly staff with a rough design and they worked meaningfully with us until the house plans were exactly what we were looking for. Our own unique home. Working with JayWest Country Homes to design and supply the materials to build my dream home has been a fabulously positive experience. We found Jay West on the internet while looking for idea`s for a "Lake House" for a B.C. property we had just purchased. We submitted a request for information and were contacted within one hour - WOW. After a long talk with Sarah we were off and running. We are building our retirement home and want just so. Sarah and Kevin worked with us very patiently until we had our perfect plan, this was not an easy task as we wanted a Carriage House and the Main House all with our limited budget, but they did it! We engaged Jaywest to turn our vision of a unique country home into reality. Coulter and his entire team have been great to work with. They have actively listened to our ideas and brought forward their own suggestions, combining them into both 2D floorplans and 3D models, allowing us to virtually walk through the home and experience the concept. We hired Jaywest for our kitchen renovation. We couldn't be happier with the final result. The tradespeople were reliable, easy to work with, and true professionals. Our goals were their goals. Eric, their finishing carpenter was a perfectionist and worked directly with us to ensure we were completely satisfied. The kitchen design was exactly what we envisioned. It was a huge job that encompassed removal of walls, new electricity, plumbing, heating, and Jaywest was able to complete the project on time and within our budget. Jaywest completed a home renovation for our family in 2012 that resulted in turning a 30+ year old house into a beautiful, bright and modern home. The project was very complex and Jaywest managed the process very well from the initial drawings/plans through completion.
