About Us

We believe, above all else, the spaces we create should not only be beautiful, but functional and livable. Our mission, quite simply, is to create settings that are flexible and responsive to daily life. We honor the personal style and the budget constraints of our clients. We strive to create spaces that truly work for our clients. We focus primarily on residential projects from small interior layouts to whole house remodels. We have experience with new construction and old home renovations. On large jobs we work in tandem with contractors and engineers throughout the entire process. Jennifer Baines Studied Architecture and Interior Design at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design before going on to work for Victoria Hagan in her eponymous New York City firm. She started out as an intern and became a senior designer on large scale projects. Having children brought Jenny back home to Oregon and her design firm to Lake Oswego. Here she utilizes the breadth of her twenty years experience to create beautiful, versitile spaces for her clients. Jenny enjoys the sleek lines of modern design mixed with an eclectic collection of special pieces. She strives to create designs that are reflective of the individuals and families who use the space.

We have just recently started working with Jenny and her team this year to design our 7,100 sq ft home in the 2016 Street of Dreams. Taking on such a large project, Jenny has shown amazing creativity and attention to detail to design a one-of-a-kind show home. She has brought new and innovative ideas for finishes and furnishings and we can't wait to see the home come together!

Jenny worked with us on our from-the-studs-up remodel, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From elevation drawings to the last throw pillow, Jenny was thoughtful, creative, and attentive in bringing our dreams to life. We've had the good fortune to work with several designers over the years, but Jenny is the first one who's managed to make the process a total pleasure for both my husband and myself. She gave us the Elle Decor home that I wanted within the Portland budget that my husband wanted (no small feat)!

I worked with Jenny on my entire home. She helped me with the remodel from the bottom up. I could have never picked everything out as quickly as my contractor needed it and with such continuity and beauty. I went from a 5000 square foot home to a 3000 square foot home. I was use to buying over scaled items, Jenny brought such a unique sense of style to my new home. It is as lovely if not more than my old home with its own warmth, elegance, coziness of its own. Visitors instantly are taken by it from floor to floor, room to room. But more importantly, so are me and my children. I love every room. Working with Jenny is like working with an old honest friend. Easy and fun.

We had few words and pictures to describe to Jenny what we wanted. She far and away surpassed all of our expectations and designed exactly what we were looking for through her ability to listen openly and assess our family's lifestyle. Jenny understood our desire for each room to be functional and practical with not only the design, but furnishings (having five children) and staying within our budget. She met and exceeded all of those goals we had for the project. In addition, her timinig in ordering materials and knowledge of construction served us well when working with the construction team and knowing Jenny had our best interest at heart. Jenny's approach is gentle and her personality is warm, calm and confident. Her talent is unmatched here in Portland and her work is true art that comes to life in your home. We are so grateful to have worked with Jenny for the last year and a half on our project.

We were so very fortunate to have worked with Jenny on our kitchen remodel. We had an idea of what we wanted but Jenny really took us out of the box to give us everything we could possibly want within our budget. Her style is impeccable. Her patience is amazing and how she turned what we had into what we have now is beyond me. We love Jenny!!!! Can't wait to do our Master Bath!

Commented: Is there any problem with the floating shelves next to the stove.There haven't been any problems with the shelves - the hood overhangs the range by 6" on either side - so there is a gap between the edge of the shelves and the range itself.

Commented: Very nicely done space! What make and size is the bath?Hi there - the tub is from Victoria & Albert and is the Ravello tub. It is 68-5/8"l x 29-5/8"w x 23-1/2"h.
