I felt so lucky to have found CHRISTA at Duo Design Studio in Greenville, South Carolina through this Houzz site. The initial consultation was so productive.
At my house, she was able to see my furnishings, get a good sense of my style, discuss my wish list and provide me with a plan to elevate my Builder grade home to my home! She followed up with printed visions of a fireplace reface and what to use to make the area cohesive. She connected and collaborated seamlessly.
The value I received for an initial consultation was priceless and the results were fabulous.

Working with Christa was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. She is incredibly easy and fun to work with, which made the whole process feel collaborative and stress-free. She works quickly and efficiently, always keeping things moving without ever sacrificing quality.
What I appreciated most is her ability to bring truly great ideas and a beautiful design aesthetic, while still honoring my personal style. She listened carefully and made sure our home felt like us, but also gently pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way — introducing elements I never would have chosen on my own that I now absolutely love.
If you’re looking for someone who is creative, responsive, and a joy to work with, I can’t recommend Duo Design enough!

I had such GREAT FORTUNE in finding Christa from DUO DESIGN STUDIO to work with on a remodel. I love color and design and she stepped right into it with me. She found the most amazing patterns, fabrics, and rugs to make the space truly pop! This space is now totally unique and one of a kind. It is full of color, sophistication and pizzazz! Christa is very dialed into someone's particular style, and went above and beyond to find beautiful things that resonated with me.
Text and email messages were always responded to promptly. Communication is critical and DUO DESIGN was always there.
I am in love my space, and Christa from DUO DESIGN STUDIO helped me make my dream come alive.

We decided last year to use Christa and Shelby to help us update our traditional 15 year old home to a more transitional style. They took some of our ideas and with their talent and resources developed a beautiful plan we could afford. Project will be complete this month and it has been a great experience. Best of all, they are great communicators and remain very accessible to their clients. We will certainly use them for our future projects.

I have used Duo Design Studio for both my business and several projects at my lake and primary residence. My wife and I would highly recommend Christa and Shelby for your next project. We recently completed our largest project to date with Duo Design Studio, a "down-to-the-studs" remodel of our downtown Greenville home. Duo Design came up with the theme, which included the color palette, fabrics, electrical and plumping fixtures and sourcing furniture factory direct for reasonable prices. Christa and Shelby were able to use most of our furniture from our previous home, and then sublimated additional furnishings that complemented our existing furniture and also the design concept for our newly remodeled home. They are a "hands-on" team that came to our previous home, measured and cataloged all our furniture to determine what we could use and would fit in our new home. The team then came up with a complete room by room list that included design boards for each space so my wife and I could envision what the final product would look like.
Overall, we found Duo Design Studio very easy to work with. Their strong communication skills never left us in doubt in any step of the process. Duo Design Studio's very creative design concepts made our house a home.

Fees were very reasonable given the amount of time they spent understanding our wishes/views of what our new home should be. I had been looking for an interior designer in Greenville for several months. Finally, I called a friend who has been a long time Greenville, SC resident to see if she could recommend someone, and she told me to Call Duo Design Studio. I would like to thank her for this recommendation. They are wonderful to work with.
Initially, we met at my home to determine the scope of the project. We then went to the Duo Design Studio to discuss the design, colors and fabrics. They made everything very easy. They really listened and put together suggestions that met my design tastes. We visited showrooms together to select flooring and plumbing options. They showed me so many things that I would not have known about if I tried to tackle this project on my own.
We are still working on the project....almost done!! I am loving my new home design so far. I am so happy that I chose to work with them. I plan to work with them again for some future projects.

Working with the team from Duo Design Studio on our restaurant project was an amazing experience. We loved the combination of having a seasoned professional with many years of design experience with an energetic young designer up on the latest trends and technology. We loved working with Duo Design! Christa and Shelby were so easy to work with and could really read us well. They transformed my home just the way I’d hoped. Christa also kept the project moving so we met both the budget and the expected timeframe without exception. This included managing and coordinating contractors, vendors and even me so that the schedule didn’t slip. I enjoyed this home project more than any others I’ve done.

We hired DUO DESIGN STUDIOS to help us renovate our house and the interior. Christa and Gregorie completely transformed our home and we couldn't be happier. Their team reworked the floor plan to take down walls and create an open floor plan. The house now flows really well and functions so much better for our lifestyle. They chose a beautiful paint palette for the interiors and exterior that updated the entire house. They also designed and selected custom furniture for the interior and pool area and now it's like coming home to a beautiful resort. This is my third project with DUO Design Studio and I would like to highly recommend Christa and Gregorie for your next interior design project. Our most recent project was a $250k renovation property at the Cliff Vineyards in Sunset, South Carolina.
The project entailed a complete remodel with new furniture, artwork, light fixtures and layout. We remodeled two kitchens and three bathrooms. They were very creative in using some of existing cabinets and granite to reduce costs.
DUO Design Studio developed the entire concept and worked with my contractor to come up with a budget and schedule. Christa and Gregorie developed a design that exceeded our expectations. They were key in keeping my contractor on time and on budget. DUO Design Studio relationships with their distributors for a wide range of products saved us $10's of thousands of dollars off of retail. DUO Design Studio creativity came up with so many design improvements that we could not have envisioned. They gave us several options on all major purchases and always stayed within in our budget. Christa and Gregorie are so fun to work with I now consider them good friends.
I did not realizes the value of DUO Design Studio until I recently started a renovation project of a property I purchased in Turks and Caicos. We hired an interior designer out of NYC and miss the communication, flexibility and creativity. Christa and Gregory please open a design studio in Turks and Caicos!

Gregorie and Christa are the incredible women behind Duo Design!!! My husband and I bought a house we liked but these women--along with talented and fun Shelby--have transformed our home into a beautiful home we love. They listened to what I wanted, worked with our budget, were patient when I was being stubborn about design choices, and have been enthusiastic and positive throughout the entire process.
All three designers have fun personalities, which makes the time together so enjoyable. And they have beautiful and unique ideas. Guests in our new home routinely walk in but don't make it past the foyer and dining room. Beautiful wallpaper, fun and fabulous light fixtures, a wonderful rug cut to fit our extra-long room, well-placed art, and beautiful styling. It's a welcoming and beautiful entrance to our home...and their amazing design continues throughout our entire home.
My husband is a hunter, and I love pink. These fabulous women have truly made each room in our home reflect the two duos in our home. I am so thankful these women have shared their love of beauty and throughful design in our home.

We recently hired Duo Design Studio to update our family room. Gregorie and Christa were great to work with. They listened to our needs, made suggestions that were creative, fun, reasonable and helped us stick to our budget. They created digital "boards" with fabrics and furniture placement that helped us see what our new room would look like. We really liked that they tried to re-use or re-purpose our existing furniture, added new fresh pieces and helped us choose fabrics and furniture that are timeless. We'll use them again for sure!

I am so happy I found Duo Design. Christa and Gregorie are very talented and fun to work with. I was building a home and wanted to go a little more contemporary then I was used to. I asked them to help me achieve a transitional home with clean lines and a modern feel and they nailed it! Their vision was amazing. They helped me create a warm welcoming home that was sophisticated and fresh. Duo Design offers many companies to purchase furniture and accessories through. I found the prices and their discounts to be very good. Unlike lots of designers they were always aware of my budget and worked accordingly. I would highly recommend hiring Duo Design. Duo Design Studio is amazing to work with, and I would highly recommend them! We recently built a house that is significantly larger than our prior home, so we needed new furniture, curtains, décor, etc., but also wanted to incorporate our existing things. Christa and Gregorie were able to creatively and seamlessly mesh our older furniture and art with the new, providing recommendations at multiple price levels and scaling back when necessary to fit within our budget. And they are fun, incredibly responsive, and accommodating to our family's busy schedule, willing to come during evening hours after work. Duo Design Studio was suggested to me by a friend who is also a designer. They were easy to work with and really listened to what I wanted. They came to my home to discuss style and functionality. I was able to go shopping with them multiple times to buy locally and also custom ordered some pieces out of catalogs. Christa and Gregorie are personable and fun to work with! I finished one project with them in May and am getting ready to start another project in September. I highly recommend them!

"This is the second project that we have hired DUO DESIGN for and once again they exceeded our expectations. We had a once in the lifetime opportunity to buy our dream house so we jumped on it. The challenge was to repurpose our existing furniture and buy new within 6 weeks. The girls from DUO DESIGN came over and met with us and then drew up space plans and put together the design scheme. They custom designed a new ottoman and swivel chairs and found a beautiful farm table, bench and chairs. They delivered on time and on budget, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I found Duo Design’s profile on houzz and knew immediately that they were the right choice for decorating my living room and powder room.
Christa and Gregorie understood my vision right away. They created a floor plan that made sense and were able to steer me towards the perfect vendors for furniture and lighting. Once we had decided on a color scheme, they found gorgeous fabrics which coordinate beautifully with one another. I trusted them to handle all of the decorative touches and styling, and couldn’t be happier with the end result.
My project was finished on time and within my budget. And most importantly, Christa and Gregorie made the entire process fun.

I cannot say "THANK YOU" enough to Christa and Greggs! When I called them for inspiration and direction to refresh my office space, I had no idea I would receive so much more!
They both visited my space and spent quality time with me listening to MY ideas, budget, and crazy timeframe for pulling off the complete renovation of my 1903 historic home.....that I "live in" to run my mortgage company in downtown Greenville. I wanted to refinish the hardwood floors, paint the walls and trim, update all lighting, install new countertops and also replace the furniture in almost every room....and I needed to do the renovations inside *one* month and re-furnishing very quickly after that! Oh, AND I had a company of nine employees to manage in the midst of accomplishing this project!!
Undaunted, the both enthusiastically said, "Let's do it!"
They jumped right in and helped me vet the best contractors, put together amazing paint colors, create updated room layouts, then brought in books and books of lighting, furniture, and samples of material for me. I really loved that they always had me pick out my favorites and then made their suggestions of elements and design. They shopped for the details and saved me so much time!! They even found a way to repurpose the old heart pine flooring we had to replace by asking a local artist make a bar height table for my kitchen!!
They surprised me with the little decorating tips they knew that went such a long way...Like where to hide electrical outlets in the places you may need them at Christmas time and how to save you money by refurbishing existing pieces that can still be in style with just a simple modification or two!
My office is the talk of the town and I have Duo Design to thank for it! I highly recommend them on so many talented levels!

My experience with the ladies from Duo Design Studio was fantastic! Their assistance with space planning, furnishings, color choices and finishing touches turned my living room into the retreat i had dreamed to create. On top of their design expertise, they are just fun! Nothing was stressful, they took care of everything! I would definitely use them again. I have and will continue to recommend them to friends.

Hiring DUO DESIGN STUDIO was the best decision I made to finish my house. Christa and Gregs helped me finish my living room, dining room and kitchen. In the living room, they pulled together the entire room with Schumacher fabrics, original artwork and reupholstered furniture. The dining room came together with custom drapes and beautiful fabric for the chairs, plus a gorgeous new mirror. They had amazing ideas to maximize space in the kitchen and designed a custom banquette covered in faux emu that's not only beautiful but so functional for my boys. Most importantly they're a blast to work with and put together a detailed budget for my approval. I would highly recommend them for your next project.

Their enthusiasm for every project is what I think of first! Gregorie and Christa are genuinely excited for you to accomplish what you are looking for in your envisioned spaces. I never had to look for anything; they found the carpets, the prints, the furniture, the bedding, and the wall colors that would look best in our home. They worked within our budget and took the time to find quality pieces that would be timeless within our home. We appreciate their hard work and beautiful results.

We had a fantastic experience working with Christa and Gregory! They were clear and straightforward in describing the design process and estimated cost. They were also full of fresh and innovative ideas. They did an outstanding job of capturing our vision (or lack of!) and executed the design flawlessly.
They also did a great job of tracking deliveries and managed our installations seamlessly – we couldn’t be happier with the process or the outcome and the costs were completely in line with initial expectations. At every stage they took care of any hiccups in stride and minimized any disruption to us or our house, and we are thrilled now to be living in a space that is functional, beautiful, and just perfect! We would recommend Room Services Interiors to our friends and we hope we’ll get the chance to work with them again!

We recently bought a cabin in the Blue Ridge Parkway in SC. The challenge to furnish the cabin from our residence several thousand miles away was easily remedied by Christa and her crew at Room Service Interiors. We met in person only once at the cabin. The interview was followed up by questionnaires about our preferences and clever request of photos of our permanent residence to help express our tastes. I was apprehensive about furnishing the cabin remotely, but Christa alleviated all of my worries. She did an extra ordinary job of communicating, answering emails within minutes most times. She sent us multiple options and organized virtual pictures to help us feel as though we were in the cabin during the process. Upon our first visit last month, we were welcomed to a place that immediately felt like home.

I don't have the space to say all of the wonderful things these girls have accomplished in my home. We renovated our home over the last year and Room Service has been with me throughout the entire journey. We met and discussed my vision. Then they created incredible vision boards and we went for it. Everything came together better than I could have ever dreamed. They are plugged into the best resources in the business and always tried to get me the best deal. Their ability to save me money allowed me to expand their decorating talents to other rooms in the house. I would use them again for any project, big or small. They are energetic, full of unique ideas and went the extra mile in customer service. I mean who answers an email from a client at midnight concerning sink fixtures? These girls are THE best.

I was referred to Room Service by several different friends but thought it would be "too expensive" to hire a designer. I could not have been more wrong about that notion and I could not have been more right to look to Room Service by Jolie Kolaj to help me design my master bedroom suite! Christa & Gregorie are AMAZING to work with...they have great ideas & vision but more important to me, they listened to what I wanted - they really wanted to understand my tastes/style/budget before ultimately coming up with a plan for my master bedroom. The master bedroom feels like such a sanctuary for my husband and I...we are so incredibly happy with how beautiful it is! And did I mention how much FUN these ladies are to work with??? Now I'm off to the next project in my home with Christa and Gregorie leading the way --- color, leopard print, lacquer...oh my!!!

I recently had the opportunity to work with Christa and Gregorie. They helped me renovate and decorate my new home. As a single mom I did not have a lot of time to devote to the project. They were excellent in meeting my busy schedule and I loved how they listened to me and used my ideas to help guide me. I was amazed at how cost effective they are. I often found things on-line and then had them source the item for me and saved money through them! After one meeting they really had a feel for what I liked and my style. They are fantastic to work with and such good ladies! If I had to rate them 1-10 with 10 the best...I would given them a 15!

Room service did an awesome job helping us brainstorm ideas, translating those initial thoughts into a plan of action and vision. I was in the process of overcoming grief and needed a complete makeover of living space and Room Service helped renew my life through transforming my living space into a brighter, more healthy environment. I've wanted to create an downstairs family room that opens up to a fun outdoor living space but couldn't ever decide "what to do" so I never did it. I saw a dramatic transformation of a friends home that Jolie Kolaj had completed in less than a few weeks! I've been blown away with their vision for my space, the take charge direction they have managed the project, and the amazing taste and luxury they are giving my family while keeping each item within the realistic budget. They are fun and fresh and so easy to collaborate with and this project will be completed on time ~ down to the day!!! I can't wait to work with these girls over and over again!!!

Christa and Gregorie were fantastic to work with! My house needed updating and a better flow, but I was on a budget. We picked the rooms that would have the most impact on everyday living and started there. They listened carefully to what I wanted, looked at what I already had, presented ideas on a reasonable budget, and held my hand (which I needed) though-out the process. They did not push anything on me, but found several great pieces of furniture and coordinating accessories that I would not have initially considered, but now love. My playroom, family room, kitchen and dining room were transformed without having to start over with all new furniture. They worked with my family's quirks and pulled everything together. I will use them again for other rooms in my house, no question.

After a lot of research into designer/decorators in the area, I selected Room Service by Jolie Kolaj because they have a fun vibe to their design, are so flexible in approach, and transparent in pricing. Christa and Gregorie were a blast to work with and saved me so much time and stress planning and shopping for our new home during construction. I knew I wanted to get completely away from my former color scheme of yellows, browns and burgundies. I also had a challenging layout in the great room that was stumping me on furniture selection and placement. I had a "feeling" I was trying to acheive in the home, but just could not envision it. I was in fear of ending up with the old look by default. Gregs and Christa helped me color design the entire home, provided a CAD layout design in the great room, source and select furniture pieces and accessories, and even came to my rescue when fast decisions had to be made during construction, such as shower tile design, grout colors and pendant placement. They made a stressful process fun. We moved in 2 weeks ago and LOVE our new home. I cannot imagine surviving this and ending up with such a beautiful product without their expert consultation. We are still bringing the vision fully to life with more painting (doing it ourselves) and a few outstanding pieces to be purchased, but every decision so far has been just right for us and within our price range. I will continue to tap into the expertise of Room Service as we add final touches to our home. You can't go wrong with Christa and Gregorie!

Easy and enjoyable to work with. There was not a lot of time wasted as they translated our vision perfectly through initial conversation and consultation. We had an immediate need to get the work done, and the team was flawless in their execution and understood the deadline and met it. Very reasonable fees.

Christa came and did two rooms and a bathroom in our home. The rooms were freshly painted so she talked color schemes with us and asked what we wanted the rooms to become. One room was a guest bedroom and she made changes that brightened the room. She talked us into keeping a dresser we were going to sell. When I saw this in the new room I was pleasantly surprised at how it worked without making the room seem too cramped.. The other room she worked on was one where we wanted a masculine den feel to it.
She helped choose a great new bed, a console and a comfortable chair for my husband,
She really knows great art work to accent the room with.
Christa really listened to our needs and thanks to her we have two new, comfy rooms.

What a fantastic experience working with Christa and Gregs! My husband and I live in Chicago and bought a vacation rental in beautiful Maggie Valley, NC. We needed to create a comfortable environment for our visitors and needed some guidance. We gave them a budget to go by and what rooms we wanted to concentrate on. All of this was first done on line! They looked at our pictures of the vacation rental, we talked on the phone and corresponded through email, so they did not see our home until they walked through our door. They brought all of their items they selected (by just viewing pictures mind you!) and we went through the house choosing which items to put in each room. We bought everything except for a few pieces! I cannot be more happy and will be using them again for additional services. They are terrific ladies and if you need help with styling and designing ideas they are the company to choose! You won't be sorry....I know we aren't!

They are up to date on the latest trends in decorating but made a conscious effort to work with my style and items that we already own. They were able to easily work within our budget and provided several options at different price points. I would highly recommend them to friends.

After purchasing a beautiful older home in Greenville, I was overwhelmed by what to do with my living room. The layout was complicated, and it was our only living space aside from our sunroom. It needed to look “put together” while still being the place where my family really lived.
The talented designers at Room Service put together the perfect layout and a gorgeous color pallet for the walls and upholstery, helping me by narrowing down my choices. They were knowledgeable about quality of furniture construction and fabric suitability, and helped me to select the right pieces for my family- we have three black labs and a three year old child who have put our living room to the test!
I was so impressed by their spot-on accuracy at selecting appropriate dimensions for furniture in my space. They listened to my ideas and pulled them together in a way that was my style but better. Ultimately, they created a space that is classic and comfortable but also very “in.”
Room Service’s commitment to being up-front and transparent about costs was as impressive as their design talent. They created a detailed budget by item showing the difference between retail and their client’s costs. I could have purchased the same high quality furniture at local retailers, but spent less working with Room Service even including their design fees!
They are also just really fun and friendly people! We can’t wait to get started on the next room!

Room Service helped me refresh my great room (which was tired and not so great). I didn't realize the difference a fresh coat of paint, new drapery panels or a new rug could make. They helped me rearrange my furniture, spray paint existing pieces and move around artwork and mirrors that I already had. It felt SO good to ditch the old sofa and chair because I was able to order the newest style sofa from them at a fraction of the retail cost. Its amazing what you can justify spending when you save so much! Sometimes we just can't see the forest for the trees because we sit amongst it every day. Room Service brings fresh perspective to your new or existing spaces.

ROOM SERVICE came to my rescue! I decided to change the color scheme of my house and update a few pieces of furniture, art, etc. in 2013. We took things in steps, choosing a new color palette first and getting all of the painting handled.
With my work schedule, ROOM SERVICE took on shopping, and texting photos of items to get my feedback. Christa really paid attention to what I liked and the budget range I wanted to stay in for my updates. Before I knew it, my house was coming together....
I took my children on vacation in October, and ROOM SERVICE came in the day we were scheduled to come home and made over several rooms of my house. We walked in exhausted from vacation and so excited to see all of our new things. It was like Christmas two months early! I'm still amazed how changing a few colors and a few accessories in my home made such a big difference.
I really enjoy ROOM SERVICE's flexibility, creativity and staying on top of the project to make sure everything was completed by when I needed it to be finished. We will be working on more together this year!
