Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling

Joe did a great job at determining my problems with windows leaks and resolved the issue with removing bad caulking ad redoing the caulking with the proper caulk required. I'm very happy to have this done.

Kaminskiy Care & Repair did an amazing job on redesigning and rebuilding the broken and wobbly gate to our backyard. It is now extremely sturdy and is by far the nicest gate on our street! We are extremely happy with this project, from the great design with arched top and stainless hardware to very high quality demo, construction and painting. We highly recommend them for projects like this as well as for major renovations like the excellent job they did early 2020 for our master bath renovation.

We bought a new house in Carmel Valley about 3 years ago and wanted to get the Kitchen, family room and the floors remodeled. My wife had recently gave birth to my second child so we wanted the work to be complete before we moved in. Overall I was very disappointed with several aspect of the work. First the project took too long and we had to move in with the work not being complete. The workers that they sent did not do enough to protect the areas they were not working on. They had re-finished the floors, but did not lay any protection down so they got scratch up while they did other work. When a bolt for the kitchen faucet installation got misplaced they got into an argument with vendor on blame and the vendor was their recommended vendor. It took 2 weeks to get the issue resolved and my faucet installed. They forgot to install cabinets restraint until I asked them which allowed cabinets to get scratched. They never put the screw covers in the cabinets and for the money I was paying my exception was that they should of. The project lead/foreman seemed to have too much going on. Example they were going to install some baseboard around the fireplace pedestal. The person they sent did not know what he was suppose to do and incorrectly installed it on the mantle. They fixed it but the damage to the mantle was noticeable after they made the change. They sent new employees who had not worked from them before without any supervision to my house. They had to redo the electrical work after they realized that it was not done correctly first time. Biggest issue was their was no sense of urgency and I felt that they were prioritizing other project before mine. They definitely had quality issues. I am going to remodel my bathroom this year and definitely will not be using them again or recommending them.

Kaminskiy is an outstanding company to work with. Their design and finished work is outstanding, and makes our product look great. Apart from being a great company they are an amazing group of moral and respectful people who are always a pleasure to do business with. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with their team.

Ever since we bought our house we have been looking for a few months for a reliable remodeling company specializing in full home remodeling, room additions, kitchen and bathroom remodeling. As we did not have any experience in remodeling, we decided to visit a seminar offered by Kaminsky Design and Remodeling on July 21, 2015. We were looking for a company with good Customer Feedback information, professional and experienced workforce, quality of work, and of course the company we can trust. We did some internet research and went to seminar to get a real feeling of what the company is about. Seminar took place at Kiva Kitchen and Bath, 7550 Miramar Rd in San Diego, and the time was convenient for us to come after work hours. We were not disappointed at all, on the contrary. Right at the entrance we were greeted by friendly hostesses who offered us what appeared to be a homemade food and drinks. Being good cooks ourselves, we were amazed by the quality of the food we were offered. Not speaking of Barbeque on the grill, baked and fried potatoes, mushrooms, salads, vegetables, we proceeded to the show room where the seminar took place. The owner of Kaminsky Design and Remodeling Sergei Kaminsky, made a warm introduction of home design and remodel services, and introduced his professional staff. We visited a few seminars of other San Diego Design and Construction companies, but what we were immediately attracted to in Kaminsky Design was the sincere response on all our questions, we did not feel any “hidden areas” that Sergei was not willing to reveal. There was very interesting and innovative presentation of contemporary technology, as well as questions on products, prices, subcontractors were all answered. We are looking forward to work with Kaminsky Design and Remodeling and advise everybody to go to seminar where you will learn a lot about your future projects. Elena and Tatyana Starr

Kaminiskiy Design was awesome to work with from the initial meeting, to the design consultation, to the execution of a kitchen remodel and family room addition, They are extremely professional and the workers showed up on time, cleaned up after each day, and were friendly.

I have used Sergei and his team a couple of time to do both residential and commercial work for us. He helped us with a build-out at our personal home and built a new office at our commercial space. His team did a great job and I would highly recommend them. Many contractors do not respond to call and Sergei and his team would answer promptly and if it went to a voice mail calls were returned within hours. We will do more projects down the road with Kaminskiy!

We contracted KDR for a kitchen remodeling, and they exceeded our expectations. The project came in on budget, according to the pre-established timetable, and the final work product was excellent. (Our neighbors were jealous!!) And they were very responsive whenever we needed to bring some issue to their attention. They made sure that the final work was perfect, and to our satisfaction, before they officially handed the kitchen back to us. We even had them do some additional work for us in the living room, and floors. Excellent customer service. I would highly recommend them.

We had the pleasure of working with Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling for our kitchen remodel this summer. After meeting with a number of contractors, we came upon their ad in the newspaper and gave them a call. Sergei came to our house and discussed our project and we decided to hire them for our project. We have been in our home for 22 years and have done a number of projects, but this was the biggest one. We appreciated the patience and creativity Sergei and Jean had in designing our project. We collaborated and thought "outside of the box" and were able to come up with some great ideas within the size limitations we have. The team was all very professional and always showed up on time, and were courteous and left the place as clean as possible considering it was a construction zone. The project was done in a reasonable time frame and we were always in communication as to the project timeline. They recommended Freddy Dietvorst at Pirch for the appliances and he also provided superior customer service. Their showroom was amazing and we purchased beautiful faucets and appliances to complete our project. The final project, far exceeded our expectations. It is a kitchen worthy of many a home and garden magazine! We look forward to using Kaminskiy for our next project

Very pleased with the original consultation and follow up design for my kitchen. Very professional, knowledgeable and offered ideas I would never thought possible in redsigning my kitchen to be more functional. Great job!
