Highly recommend KAD to design, manufacture and install any cabinet projects. KAD did our basement bar, new kitchen island, and our coach home cabinets. We worked with Doug to design all the projects and he did an outstanding job. We brought many ideas for a basement bar to him and he took all our ideas and designed a bar that exceeded our expectations. We wanted to re-use our old kitchen island cabinets and countertops for the coach home and he designed the coach home kitchen so we were able to incorporate them into a beautiful new coach home kitchen. Throughout the process of design, build, install and follow-up, everyone was professional and we are very happy with the completed projects. Thank you!

BEWARE! Hired KAD to do the custom built-ins/cabinetry for a new home valued around $4-5M. They had rave 5 star reviews on Houzz & apparently won many awards several years in a row. Thought we were in good hands. Our interior designers were Sarah Gallop Designs so most of the details, locations, sizes were already established. Awarded them the job April 2020 with intentions on needing the install Nov 2020. We were behind and told them to delay the install until Feb/March 2021. They came to me and said they had EVERYTHING done and needed to deliver it to make room in their shop for other jobs. I immediately rented two huge containers and placed them at the site for them to deliver the product because I did not want to inconvenience them in any way for delays at our end. I also paid them most of the outstanding balance because they would have been out of pocket for the materials. Now it is time to start installing. This is where everything starts going sideways. They send guys to start doing the installation in June, because they said that was the earliest they could do it. Then that date comes and nobody shows up!! I have to call them to find out what is going on. They gave me some excuse. Said now they were coming a month later instead. They ended up getting another crew out the following week to start the initial installs. They start installing and it turns out we are missing quite a few items that would not enable them to complete what they had started. Further investigations show us that they hadn't delivered everything after all, only one part of the large order. How do you not know what you are bringing??? They accepted my payment of course. The breakdown seems to occur because nobody at the KAD office is communicating with each other. Nobody overseeing the projects. Guys arrive to install stuff, have a few days allocated to do it, NOTHING shows up for them to install or they show up, can't complete anything because pieces are missing for that section or part they are working on. Or the parts that show up are simply wrong altogether. Backs of open cabinets that have 4 shelves come with 2 or 3 different finishes and/or grains on them. B/I fridge doors are 2" to long. Kicks for vacuum cut too big. SO MANY MISTAKES AND SLOPPY WORK EVERYWHERE. Should have been done June 2021 but here we are almost a year later and no signs at this point when they will finish. Nobody at HO responds to emails or calls despite mention of a possible lawsuit. Nobody there is pressing to get things completed. NOBODY has apologized for this horrific mess they have caused! Living in a dusty mess that we cannot clean until they are done. Their delays have caused grief for all other trades. I could not have imagined a worse scenario. All of these awards and reviews have to be fake because there is no way ours is the only job they have messed up this bad. This review is abbreviated because of word limitations. Doug Kroeger from KAD was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is positive, energetic, creative, and great with communication. We presented Doug with a number of challenges, and he worked hard to make our vision become a reality. He offered wonderful ideas, has an excellent eye for design, was on top of the latest trends, and really paid attention to details. We highly recommend KAD, and especially Doug. From the moment we met, Doug made us feel as though he completely understood us, respected our wants and needs and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and had the kitchen of our dreams. I thought I had all my ducks in a row, however Doug was a great sounding board and brought up ideas and suggestions even I hadn’t thought of. If I drove him crazy, he didn’t let on one bit. I also want to give shout out to the installers who were incredibly polite, professional, on time and efficient.

We are very impressed with the service and product from Citation Kitchens. We had the cabinetry replaced in two bathrooms. Ming was very helpful in choosing the appropriate materials for the cabinets, and in ensuring that we understood the process. The cabinets were ready and installed when Ming said they would be. The end product was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Any issue we had was dealt with immediately, and potential issues anticipated. The end product is top quality and the service excellent.

I recently had my kitchen and master bathroom redone and have been extremely pleased with the help I received from James in the design of the cabinetry. The Citation installers were excellent and the finished products have been a joy for me. I am so pleased with the beauty and usefulness of the kitchen cabinets, the bathroom vanity, and the custom storage unit designed for a small space under the slanted ceiling in my bathroom.

KAD is an amazing company. From the designs to the quality of cabinets and installation. The cabinets came in on time and budget. Working with this team was a pleasure. We now have a beautiful, functional kitchen we can be proud of.

The kitchen and 2 bathrooms of my condo were renovated in the spring of 2019. My contractor recommended me to talk with Ming Chow from Citation Kitchens for the cabinets. Ming listened to my needs and preferences carefully, and made suggestions for the total designs and materials. He measured very precisely in my old kitchen, paid attention to the details, and showed me the designs to confirm. I liked the designs and colours of his suggestions he suggested. The cabinets were half-built at their factory, then an installer came to my condo to complete the installation. I am very happy to I completed my new kitchen and bathrooms with Ming.

We would highly recommend Kitchen Art Design - especially Kara. Our kitchen turned out more beautiful than we imagined. Our original kitchen was odd shaped and small. The only thing we could think of doing to change the design was to take out the load-bearing wall which would have been a huge expense to bring in a beam or we would have had to settle on a post - neither of which we wanted. Then we hired Kara. Kara was professional, friendly and talented. Kara came up with a design which we would have never thought of on our own. She assured me our kitchen would be beautiful and she was right. We absolutely love it. Not only do we love the design but KAD stuck within our budget and delivered and installed on time. The cabinets are beautiful and well made, the delivery guys were careful not to scratch our newly refinished floors and the cabinet installers were amazing and professional. They arrived early in the morning to start the installation and left at the end of the day. They did a terrific job and cleaned up every spec of dust behind them. KAD exceeded our expectations! When we started the major renovation of our new home, our contractor Kemp Construction, recommended that we talk with Ming Chow of Citation Kitchens for the cabinets in our kitchen, bathrooms and studio. The design goal for our home was "aging-in-place". Citation Kitchens deliver a high standard of workmanship and Ming Chow truly understands the aesthetic and function requirements of aging-in-place. We highly recommend them for anyone embarking on a renovation with this goal in mind. It was important to us that our house be designed to prevent accidents and to accommodate our changing abilities so that we can remain in our own home. We wanted this to be achieved without an "institutional" look. During our renovation, we met many people involved in design, the trades, fixtures and furniture who said that they understood aging-in-place. The reality is that few grasp what that means in practical terms so proposals were often frustrating. We don't have major mobility issues now but having assisted senior family members, we were familiar with the problems elders can face in their living space and we wanted to avoid them. With Ming's willingness to listen, his attention to detail and his experience with the needs of people with mobility issues, Citation Kitchens delivered cabinetry that is a real pleasure to live with.
