About Us

Good design finds a balance between function and aesthetics. And a good designer sees every space as having the potential to be simultaneously livable and dazzling. We at LK Design know that this balance begins with the client, and we take great pride in our ability to translate and enhance every idea brought to us. From the faintest whim to the nearly completed project, we work closely with our clients so to turn spaces into destinations. Our company covers all steps in the design process. From concept development to innovative design solutions, we offer clients a variety of services to suit their specific needs. This means that no project is too big or too small, and no project more or less important than another. We believe that each space demands a commitment unique to its owners, and any idea is met with both enthusiasm and a dedication to turning concepts into realities. LK Designs' owner, Luba W King, holds both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in interior design from Marymount University and maintains memberships in ASID,NKBA,IFDA,and NEWH. Additionally, she was the owner of Kalista Kollection, a Bethesda, Maryland retail store specializing in home furnishings. She believes that the intersection of these experiences provide her with a perspective uniquely suited to every stage of the design process. In addition, Luba King is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). One of the newest additions to the Interior design field. As home owners begin to age they decide that starting over would be to difficult. The CAPS PROGRAM allows home owners to remodel their homes to meet their future needs as they age. I hired Luba King of LK Design just a few months after purchasing my new home in Delray Beach. With my heavy work and travel schedule,I knew I could not furnish this house on my own. After meeting with Luba and discussing my ideas and visions of the house, she immediately went to work. She guided me on everything from choosing paint colors, to lighting fixtures, to rugs and tables, in addition to all the major pieces. Even patio furniture. During the whole process I always felt like I had someone working with me who truly cared and wanted to make this my "perfect" home.She has a great passion for her job, and the results have reflected that. My house looks amazing! I couldn't be happier. I've already referred Luba to a number of my friends, and would advise anyone else looking for an interior designer that they can trust to call her. Enjoyed working with the decorator on the updating of my house to a more coastal look. She had great ideas, brought items for me to see or sent pictures to me. We traveled together to purchase items and picked out new colors, cabinets and furniture. I would recommend her for any decorating needs.

Luba has been so great from Day 1! We bought a home built in the 50's in need of a major overhaul and interviewed a number of interior designers in the area. After meeting with Luba and seeing her personal home and work, we knew she was the perfect fit. Our visions were so aligned. She has been a huge help along the way not only helping on design, but through all her contacts in the business, we've been able to make our dream come together as a team. We are still putting the final touches on our home and Luba has been there for us every step of the way. I highly recommend Luba King. I am a project manager for a luxury custom home building company in South Florida. I was fortunate enough to work with Luba King on her own house and help her bring her vision to a reality. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and continue to work with her on subsequent projects. I recommend her to clients looking for a designer because I know she will have their best interests at the top of her priority list. If something is difficult and I am having a problem making the design work, she is willing to collaborate with myself and the subcontractors to come up with a solution. She has fun and innovative ideas and works tirelessly to give her clients the best finished product and always is very good at considering time and money which a lot of designers do NOT do.

LK Design did a complete remodel of my master bath. It turned out gorgeous. Luba was amazing. She helped me with the design, shopped for all products including marble, fixtures, lighting, sink and toilet. She had great patience, made herself available around my schedule and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend LK Design!

When she came to our house, Luba instantly came up with some simple changes and paint choices that have made a huge difference to the look of our home. I hired Luba King for the second time when I moved to Miami to decorate my apartment after an amazing job she did with my townhouse in Delray Beach. The Miami apartment had a beautiful floor plan along with amazing views that I wanted to draw attention to so I asked Luba to pay particular attention to that. Luba, did an even better job with the new apartment by adding a few additional pieces of furniture and accents while adjusting the paint and color scheme to really bring out the spirit of the place. What particularly stands out to me outside of her work is that she did such a thorough job of understanding my tastes and preferences from the first job that she was able to run with the new assignment with very little input other than that looks great! I am beyond happy with my new place and as usual Luba stayed on budget and met the time horizons we originally set. Luba is a best interior designer in south Florida and a pleasure to work with. You will be doing yourself a favor by hiring her and with that I send my highest recommendation!
