Homework Remodels

We recently completed a major renovation project on our 1920s bungalow that included a complete gut of the kitchen and dining room, a refurbishment of garage exterior, and several additional projects ranging from fireplace refacing to exterior painting. The project required coordination of every major trade and sub-contractor, all of whom were seamlessly managed by our on-site project manager. We were kept informed of timelines and status at all times and, whenever possible, our project managers took on problems and repairs themselves. We felt very fortunate to have such a talented and conscientious team -- especially since we remained in the house throughout the 6-month project. A project can only be as good as the design itself; working with Sheila was an absolute pleasure. She is a gifted designer who puts tremendous thought and care into her recommendations. Her expertise ensured we made solid decisions that we will be happy with for years to come. This is our second major project with Homework Remodels. We have one more left and look forward to getting started soon.

After many years of consideration we finally decided to remodel our home—kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and new flooring throughout. We highly recommend Homework Remodels! Steve and Sheila spent time providing us with quality blueprints and excellent home décor/interior design selections for our new 400 square foot casita. We live in a historic neighborhood and they have proven experience obtaining the required city permits and approval from the Phoenix Historical Preservation Society. They removed our dilapidated garage and replaced it with an amazingly beautiful and quality-built casita! We would like Ross, our Homework Remodels’ project manager, to oversee all of our projects! He kept the project moving smoothly and made sure the work was completed to high, quality standards. After examining the completed casita, contractors we know gave the work their high praise!

We are second time customers of Homework Remodels. They restored/remodeled our 1946 home when we purchased it 10 years ago. It was much in need of repair, and we were very satisfied with the results. So, when we decided to do a complete remodel of our bathroom, which had not been remodeled initially, there was no question about who we wanted to do this project. We were not disappointed with the choice. We had very specific styling in mind, bringing up-to-date the original fixtures and colors. Homework Remodels was very helpful in this process; informing us about new fixtures and helping with the physical design and costs. We worked together to get the bathroom we wanted within the budget we had allowed. This included the use of custom pink tile supplied from Clayhaus and more conventional gray floor and shower tile, and gray fixtures. This mixture of tile and difficult shapes required some extra artistry on the part of the tile installers. New brass and black lighting was installed. Since this was a complete "remove and replace" process, a lot of work was performed while we were at home. Homework Remodels constructed a temporary "tunnel" from the front door to the bathroom which isolated the project as much as possible. This was especially important during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. This resulted in as "low impact" a project in small occupied house, as one could imagine! Overall we were very happy with the process of the construction and with the final results. We love it and recommend Homework Remodels highly.

Steve and the Homework Remodels Team did a great job on my fairly considerable room addition project. The goal was to expand an existing, view-facing deck on the back of my home... while also adding a whole new room to the downstairs part of the home by utilizing the newly created space underneath the deck expansion. I had prepared my 'back of the napkin' drawings in some detail and Steve, Sheila and team were able to stick closely to my design concepts throughout the project, while professionally upgrading the drawings for all of the necessary planning and approval steps that were required along the way. Steve also accompanied me to the City Planning Hearing in order to get city approval to expand beyond the allowable 'footprint' of my home for the project to move forward... and it all came off without a hitch. Nine months later and we are enjoying the views of Lookout Mountain from our outdoor kitchen atop our newly-expanded (and now partially covered & misted) deck. The "new" side matches the pre-existing side perfectly, and the deck flooring upgrade has been absolutely fantastic. We've added several hundred square feet of VERY usable outdoor space just off of our kitchen and living areas, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The downstairs room addition is equally as fantastic, and even the few issues that needed follow-up were handled as courteously as one might hope for. Steve & Company are total pros, and good people as well. Highly recommended.

Very happy to highly recommend Steve, Sheila and the Homework team. We had a bathroom remodel done amidst the beginnings of the Covid lockdown. Even with that distraction, everyone was professional, careful and respectful of the situation. All the trades did beautiful work and our project manager Ross couldn't have been more helpful and professional. The project was done on time and on budget. Steve and Sheila carefully walk you through the timeline to minimize any "surprises". I just contacted Steve last week for another project, and they came out the same day to assess the project and start the ball rolling.

Just completed my second project with Tri-Lite. My new master bath is stunning! As a single woman, it was great to work with someone I trusted to do the job right.

Homework Remodels/Tri-lite Builders remodeled my very dated kitchen, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the experience.
