I would not use Stuart Kitchen for my kitchen remodel if I could do it over. They recommended MDF cabinets and then as soon as I had an issue with them, they dropped me as a customer and said that they are just the middle man and that I have to go through the company that produced the cabinets, which is Rutt Cabinetry, but they won't talk to me and said I have to go through who I purchased the cabinets from. It is a no win situation. I went with Stuart Kitchen because I thought it was a high quality kitchen remodeler, but it is not. I am very dissapointed in their customer service. Again, Stuart Kitchen recommended the MDF cabinets and then did not want to help at all when I experienced an issue. If you use this company make sure they don't talk you into MDF cabinets.

We hired Stuart Kitchens to renovate our kitchen, bathrooms, and living room. We worked with Stuart Bunyea, who is incredibly talented, dedicated, and responsive. He was able to take our partially developed vision and craft a comprehensive design that involved removing walls and a 4-sided fireplace and taking a dated small kitchen and making it part of a beautiful open concept first floor with a giant marble island, a custom mixed material built-in with a new gas fireplace, and an external sliding glass door. Our project included new hardwood flooring and lighting throughout the house, which Stuart also expertly oversaw. The new bathrooms, including a gorgeous marble master bath, exceeded our expectations. Stuart was available to answer questions and tweak the design throughout the entire process. We could not have been happier and highly recommend Stuart Ktchens for any remodeling project.

I do not know if there could ever be a company that compares to this one. But, I may be biased. One of the designers, Stuart Bunyea, has been an incredible treasure through multiple design projects. In the process, he has become a wonderful family friend, and someone that I trust to always have my best interests at heart, design or otherwise. His calm demeanor and ability to handle any surprise or emergency is beyond comforting. Come see him and tell him I sent you. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Stuart kitchens to remodel a 30 year old bathroom. Space considerations limited us to just update the existing space. We worked with Robyn Levy with Stuart kitchens. She did a wonderful job of interpreting my vision for the space. Very professional from start to finish and she handled all areas and has a great eye to coordinate colors and pull the bath together. Their sub contractors are very thorough and kept the area clean and the finished product is beautiful...they are now preparing plans for a separate shower space that is currently leaking. And we are taking advantage of Robyn's talents for the new project.

After receiving four bids from other well respected companies in our area we hired Stuart Kitchens to remodel both our master bath and kitchen and what a wise choice it was. The desinger, Stuart Bunyea, came up with excelent designs for both areas, all incorporating our wants with great ways, that we had never thought of, to accomplish them. Both areas were total gut jobs including removing walls and repositioning water, gas, and power lines. The bath went from a 20 + year old builder bathroom with a spa tub, enclosed shower and seperate water closet to an open updated area with a stand alone soaking tub, all glass curbless shower and the enclosed water closet is gone. The kitchen was opened up to the living and dinnning area. The design, while keeping the same basic footprint allowed for almost doubling our couter and storage space and a breakfast bar was added, although we use it for more then breakfast. This was all accomplished within the projected time line and budget. The project manager Doug Handley was a pleasure to work with, between he and Stuart we were kept up to date on all aspects of the job and if there was a question we received an immediate answer.

I so enjoy working with Stuart Kitchens, in particular, kitchen designer Judy Bracht. When my clients want to tackle a kitchen or bath project, she is my first call. We have collaborated on at least a dozen projects over the years and each and every job has met the deadline, budget and most importantly surpassed my clients expectations with the end results. Her knowledge of the field is formidable --- she expertly addresses the latest in semi-custom and custom cabinetry and understands how to integrate those with the most appropriate appliances, plumbing, lighting and more. Her ability to balance form and function and help me realize my desired design concept for clients is paramount. Judy will always be part of my design team. Stuart made the kitchen design process as stress free as I would allow. I am a high strung individual and with Stuart's expertise and attention to detail, he helped me to design the most beautiful functional kitchen. He constantly showed us simulated drawings so my husband who could not visualize the project could participate. Stuart took each day that we met as a new day to create the most beautiful kitchen. A true designer is one with talent but one who listens to your needs. He was able to incorporate the kitchen design into the entire first floor plan of our house. Stuart was punctual and kept all his promises. I truly did not believe that the entire kitchen would be installed in 5 days, but Marty the installer came out and installed the kitchen from the appliances to granite to the other details in just one week!!! They are an amazing installation team- they have been doing it for so long - that there is nothing that alarms them. SD Kitchens exceeded my expectations and if I were to do another kitchen or bath (he also designed 3 bathrooms which we love). I will call them!!!!

I was referred to Steve and from our initially meeting, knew that I had made the correct choice. He is one of the most professional people I have worked with, extremely creative and above all honest. After listening to me, he immediately knew the way I wanted my kitchen to look. His design ideas were excellent and took only a short time to select everything for the kitchen. From friends who have had remodeling done, I was expecting a "drama". Not so... Steve had provided me with a detailed timeline from ordering to installation and it was perfection. I happened to be traveling and when I arrived home my new and gorgeous kitchen was stunning. All my friends are jealous of how beautiful it looks and the highest service levels in all aspects. They are stunned that what was promised was delivered. I have told everyone to use your company and Steve.. My only problem is that I only have one in my apartment and one kitchen!

I wanted to let you know how much my Mom and I enjoy working with Steve Church. He has gone above and beyond for us in the home we've built in Bethesda, overcoming many surprises and delays caused by my builder and delivering a beautiful finished product. Things went so well on my house that I asked him to work on my new 10,000 sq ft office. We are now getting so many compliments on his selections, and looking forward to more additions. It is rare to get to work with someone like Steve who cares about a project as if it was his own. I am sure we are one of many who may have said this to you, but we wanted to chime in because our challenging projects wouldn't have been completed without him.

I contracted with Stuart Kitchens and engaged the services of your Kitchen Designer, Harriet Finder, for both projects - first, in 2012, to gut and remodel my kitchen(including finishing the storage area in the basement and creating an arts and crafts room using my old kitchen cabinets, installing the remainder of the old cabinets in the garage, and updating the powder room and pantry butler); second, in 2013, to remodel my master bedroom. Harriet is not only kind, warm, courteous, respectful, patient, personable, and knowledgeable, but she is also a great problem solver. I was also particularly impressed with the craftsmanship and willingness to please that were demonstrated by the construction manager, Michael Myers, and the crew from Cornerstone Renovation. Throughout my interactions with Harriet, she was patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. Furthermore, I feel that my time was never wasted and Harriet tuned into what I was looking for by anticipating my needs and addressing all my concerns. The effort, energy, commitment, and attention to detail that Harriet provided for the work in my home was extraordinary. I have a beautiful and very functional kitchen and a gorgeous bathroom! These rooms and areas were seamlessly integrated into the existing architecture of my home. For all these reasons, I will recommend your company and Harriet to any friends and relatives who express a need to remodel their kitchens and bathrooms.
