Smart design for timeless tiny kitchen
This small kitchen was outdated, cramped and featured a small pass through window to the dining room, making it a completely confined space. The kitchen lacked storage, had very little counter surface and only a small awkward space for a table pushed against the wall. The homeowners wanted a change from the stand alone range with microwave above to a combination oven and separate cooktop with decorative hood. The biggest challenge was working around the many structural restrictions of the condominium; plumbing and ventilation could not be relocated. The wall separating the kitchen and dining room was removed, creating a new entrance and allowing for a peninsula with seating. The old entry door was closed off freeing up space for a pantry combo oven and integrated sub zero. This kitchen is elegant with inset painted cabinets, silestone counter tops and tiffany glass backsplash.
