Fink & Platt Architects

We have worked with Fink & Platt Architects on two house projects, both involving old historic houses. The first was with an 1929 stone house in Westchester which needed asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, chimney renovation, & a complete refiguring and renovation of the master bedroom, bath & dressing room. The second project was a renovation and addition on an 1888 house in East Hampton village. The scope of this project was absolutely enormous and not something most people were willing to undertake. We were able to work flawlessly with F & P because they listened to exactly what we wanted to achieve and set about thinking creatively about the challenges we presented to them and with their broad expertise were able incorporate the old part of the house with the new portion of the house, mirroring historic features. F & P's attention to detail is exquisite. I would be happy to speak with anyone regarding these projects and working with Janet & Arthur.

Fink & Platt did a spectacular job. We couldn't be happier with them. We hired F&P to help us renovate a pre-war apartment. We bought a Classic 6 that needed a complete renovation and we asked them to help us restore it, so that we could bring back its pre-war charm. F&P's overall design, use of the space, choice of materials, thoughtfulness about lighting and color, and attention to detail was incredible. There are so many details that we love -- such as the spectacular wall moulding, the custom-built decorative fireplace, the beautiful bathrooms, and wonderful wood floor. F&P also did the interior design as well, which we couldn't be more thrilled with. F&P also did a great job managing the project. They're not only creative, but they're focused on the details, always thinking ahead, and always on top of everything that needs to be done. There were also great about budgeting, from beginning to end. We've been involved in a number of commercial and residential real estate projects over the years, and F&P is by far the best architecture firm we've ever worked with. We'd work with them again in a second -- and we highly recommend them!

I have worked with Fink & Platt on both residential and commercial projects. They are currently doing a hallway design project involving 21 floors in my co-op )where I am the president). Everyone involved is absolutely enthusiastic about everything they have been doing However, I would rather talk about the virtual guy renovation of our 1700 foot co-op apartment on the upper East side. We selected them from a group of about four architect/designers. We literally had to gut the inside of this 2br/2bathroom apartment. We met with them every other week to decide on direction and to approve more details than I even want to think about They were creative, articulate , practical, knowledgeable and an absolute joy to work with. After completing our project they do major work on my son’s apartment on the upper west side, his home in Litchfield county and my son’s midtown office. Needless to say, the success of these projects significantly influenced our design committee to hire them. I was very happy with their choice

We have engaged Fink & Platt for numerous renovation projects over 20 years, beginning with re-imagining the interiors of our Central Park West apartment and our home in Water Mill, NY including designing and decorating our living rooms, dining rooms, 7 bedrooms, outdoor furnishings and gut renovating both kitchens and 3 bathrooms in each location. To put it simply - we couldn't be happier with the result - from their tasteful planning, design and construction recommendations, careful selection and thorough management of sub-contractors and a stress-free work process - including laser focus on each detail at every stage - plus frequent updates and follow-thru before, during and even years after each job. In short, we love and continue to appreciate the results - and their friendship.
