I read somewhere that composite granite sinks are susceptible to cracks when very hot water is suddenly poured into them (i.e. when you drain boiled pasta). To avoid this, you are supposed to run cold water at the same time you pour the hot water out. Is this true? Thanks!

I chose a Blanco granite composite sink for my reno, in “Cinder”. It’s not quite black, not quite brown, just perfect. The sink has been super durable and quite easy to clean. I just scrub it with hot water and Dawn! I will never have any other type of sink.
