The kitchen island was painted in Sherwin Williams Dovetail to compliment the over-sized, dark bronze, pendant lights. The beveled tile backsplash in antique white provides a clean backdrop for the custom, aged, zinc finish on the hood.

Transitional style kitchen has a built-in coffee bar with a hinged door that slides open & close for easy access. Open shelves on the opposite wall are made of Carrera marble as well as the back splash and perimeter counter tops. These features contribute to the airy feel & unified, elegant design. The black and gold La Cornue range accompanied by the unique hood help bring a European atmosphere to this Evanston kitchen. Transitional kitchen remodel featuring three-tone cabinetry, paneled end panels, and a spacious quartz island. Highlights include a custom range hood, herringbone backsplash, built-in double ovens, and integrated refrigeration. A perfect balance of timeless design and modern function.

This sophisticated kitchen uses multiple finishes on the cabinetry and countertops to put emphasis on focal points and combine textures. The kitchen sink was built into the island toallow the homeowners to interact with guests while still working in the kitchen. The hood is a unique blend of painted and polished metals and the refrigeration is completely concealed with cabinetry.

A young family moving from NYC tackled a makeover of their young colonial revival home to make it feel more personal. The kitchen area was quite spacious but needed a facelift and a banquette for breakfast. Painted cabinetry matched to Benjamin Moore’s Light Pewter is balanced by Benjamin Moore Ocean Floor on the island.
