When building their new home, this young couple chose Cambria Praa Sands design for their kitchen; Cambria Torquay for master vanity and Chocolate Bordeaux granite guest vanity. Once they'd gathered all their information and realized that Cambria is virtually maintenance free, the decision was an easy one. They needed Cambria because they knew it would outlast any other countertop surface and withstand any abuse from kids, family, and friends.

Our Leathered Walnut Flooring is made from American Black Walnut which is prized for its dark-colored, straight grained, true heartwood. It is known as one of the most durable hardwoods in the US because of it's strength, weight, and shock resistance. These floors will contain some filled knots that will give the floors their own character. The finish used on the Diamond Forever Collection is made to be especially durable, and capable of withstanding the abuse of day to day activities while still retaining its aesthetic feel. KIDSANCTUARY CAMPUS is a charitable organization in Palm Beach County committed to assisting children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment. They are continuing to build a five acre residential facility with homes, an enrichment center and play areas. Palm Beach County graciously donated this land for our project. The campus includes 24-hour care and housing for the children who are considered the most vulnerable in the foster care system. KidSanctuary Campus brings in expert, professional foster parents who raise the children living in our homes. They provide comfort, security and consistency. It is often the first time these children are in such a safe, structured environment.

Our solution was the bring the bed out away from the house and create mass plantings of perennials and shrubs that, when mature, would break up the white wall without blocking the windows. The Pear tree in the front adds an intermediate height (now between home and perennials, eventually between spruce and home). The perennials in front of the fire hydrant do not block access and can handle abuse; and the diminished sod area means less maintenance. The pathway remained as-is because the client had a recycled rubber driveway installed after we left.

We had a different stone, a piece leftover from the fireplace build that made for a dramatic countertop in the powder room off the kitchen. A winning moment for us to have an opportunity to repurpose extra material! The vinyl wallpaper is pretty and also washable—to withstand abuse by small hands. High sink apron and backsplash are similarly designed to hold up to multi-kid use, while also making the small room feel more grand and spacious. Moroccan powder room features repurposed stone, kid-friendly design elements, imported light fixture for glam! Not to mention the golden mirror! And how much we love that geometric light fixture via Tazi, imported from Morocco, elevating what could have been simply a functional space into something fabulous.

Mannington's Adura Luxury Vinyl Plank collection is stunning, isn't it? Here a lovely family with young children selected it for their family room that was right off their kitchen and thus is probably receives the most abuse out of all of the rooms in their home. They chose it for it's realistic and stunning wood look that would be able to adapt with the style of their home for years to come as well as it's high dent and scratch resistances and ability to handle spills.
