Before the house was built, we were brought in to make selections from what the production builder offered and then make decisions about what to change after completion. Every detail from design to furnishing was accounted for from the beginning and the result is a serene modern home in the beautiful rolling hills of Bee Caves, Austin.

This kitchen remodel in Blue Bell, PA was exactly what the homeowner asked for—Meridian Construction kept their original geometric backsplash, while designing and constructing a well-thought-out kitchen around it. With custom, bright shaker cabinets, smart storage, and blue accents to complement the backsplash, this kitchen remodel truly made the most out of a more modest room size. The Rainbow house is a three storey 3,500 sq.ft residence located on a mountain perch, in Skyridge, Squamish’s newest residential development. The home was site specific, taking into account natural daylighting, strong winds local to the area, and the spectacular views of Howe Sound and various mountain ranges. The home incorporates large overhangs via cantilevered glulam beams, covered outdoor living areas, winter and summer zones, and juxtapositions living spaces based on views and lighting. The home has been conceptualized to be built out of the ground as it follows the grading of the site, stepping down across the lot, and by using natural, local materials. The final product will be a leader in the “West Coast Modern” design aesthetic.

This screened in porch is a divine outdoor living space. With beautiful hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings that boast outdoor fans, a brick outdoor fireplace flanked with an outdoor TV and cozy living and dining spaces, this porch has it all. Easy access to the kitchen of the home makes this a convenient place to share a meal or enjoy company. The view of the spacious, private backyard is relaxing. Exterior lighting was also taken in to account to create ambiance and function.

The house was in an ideal location but needed to be expanded. Design Builders & Remodeling almost doubled the square footage of the home. Creating a new sunny and spacious master bedroom, new guestroom, laundry room, garage, kids bathroom, expanded and renovated the kitchen, family room, and playroom. The upgrades and addition is seamlessly and thoughtfully integrated to the original footprint.

Taking into account the client’s lifestyle, needs and vision, we presented a contemporary design with an industrial converted-warehouse feel inspired by a photo the clients love. The showpiece is the functioning garage door which separates a 3-season room and open deck. While, officially a 3-season room, additional features were implemented to extend the usability of the space in both hot and cold months. Examples include removable glass and screen panels, power screen at garage door, ceiling fans, a heated tile floor, gas fire pit and a covered grilling station complete with an exterior-grade range hood, gas line and access to both the 3-season room and new mudroom. Bedroom - small contemporary bedroom idea in San Francisco
